aggro/card advantage deck!
Turns 1-3 control the board and play aggressively so your opponent is below 10-15ish then, turns 4-7 gain life lost by early aggression and draw, eventually draw enough cards to win by lots of overwhelming creatures on battlefield while throwing guys at your opponent use geralf, extort, and bolas to grind down the opponents life. flickering and undead geralf will cause him to lose his counters when hes exiled then re-enters the battlefield as a fresh corpse. sorin works well because you cast him and immediately do his -2 and get the emblem this will allow your creatures to his harder and also when you sacrifice a creature to desiple of bolas you draw an additional card and gain one more life which is very annoying to the hyper-aggressive decks that begin to hurt when you pull out of the fateful hour area of life .

This deck has a bit of finesse I wouldn't really see coming. Your aggro hurts, but it really depends on what deck you are running if you can actually get card advantage.

Thats true but the theory is it runs like an aggro deck. it plays aggressively and is vulnerable to other aggro decks so with desiple of bolas and sublime archangel they help out lots because bolas gains you life and more answers to what your opponent is playing. but ya the card advantage is conditional but the probability is great. i ran this last nightt and took 1st place out of 20 other fnm players im very proud out the way this deck works.
I'd imagine you did so well, the sublime archangel by herself is extremly potent card against aggro. Neither Boros or Naya blitz run flyers.Exactly what I meant by would see coming are increasing ambition, spectral primordial, and again the Sublime Archangel. First off, what exactly do you tend to search for? Like I think the best card is Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, but just looking at the basic numbers, you run four. With no extra mana ramp, any assuming you hit your mana, you are actually more likely to have drawn Sorin by turn five. The extra search is dynamite in this deck, but it also gives some rare chances to drop down on a few high cost to throw in more solid aggro or removal. Search is always a plus one on just usual draw, and I'd recommend three, but that would require some mana ramping to pull off. Which, white black just doesn't have. That all being said, If you are searching for either sorin or sublime archangel (a combo that will almost always give you game in this meta) There is a good chance that you'll already have them by the time you actually can pay for your increasing ambition. So I guess you could do something like your primordial, but then you'd be hard pressed for the other two mana, and unless you had seven, he'd sit in your hand before you could use them. I do enjoy the spread of the your card sets, but you can easily drop down on one serra or one sorrin, or one primordial for another something else. All your aggro is nice, but if you free'd up one more slot you could run something else. Hmm... obezat the ghost council sounds like a logical choice, and I believe it legendary. So running one of them isn't illogical or anything like that. Or you could use that one extra slot for another increasing ambition, although it isn't the best choice. Basically that one extra would just end up being search material for your end game since drawing it before turn ten is unlikely. Next I would drop the gates. They are seriously bad. Especially if you are looking for a mana to drop a something, and you draw a gate. It always enters tapped. I wouldn't even run two! Basic land is all that is really needed. That is just my perspective. Anyway, looks really good. I'd hate to go against it. The last concern I have, and there isn't much you can do about it (except for kill them quickly which is the goal of this deck anyway) is that you have no answers for any of the infinite combos there are.
i dont really understand what you meant in the last paragraph...to answer your "ambitious" question it really just depends on the board state, its mainly in the deck for control type decks but its nice to search out an anwer to a tough question. sorin is great in this deck 4 mana for a +1+0 emblem it works well in many ways.. caters to the aggro play style but also with desciple it allows me to draw an extra answer and gain an extra life for sacking a creature...say you have like three creatures and two emblems with an archangel sacking a 7/5cackler seems amazing and he isnt missed at all because youll prob draw throuh another before the end of your turn and cast him right when you enter your second main. now the gates i entrely aggree with you there horrible but they help make my mana more concistant and with running plenty of my main cards single double and triple black its way bad news to pull any plains, gates do slow the decks game down but this deck is built to be controling. finaly ramping with this deck is not hard at all bolas works well for the mana ramping and again life gain....the primordial is just for fun last friday with the primordial i pulled my opponents ordic out of his grave yard that was killed 2 turns before by a ultimate price, as an affect of his ordic on my battlefield i won the game going 2-0. the way i use sorin depends on the type of deck i play against, i fun four for added effeciancy...first turn hes on the field EMBLEM second turn TOKEN third turnEMBLEM then he dies but at the same time i now +2+0 emblem and then its back to bolas to dig up another sorin from the library....all in all the decks lots of fun, i built it to counter aggro but allso race control...i do belive its one of a kind
