A cute little budget deck for Mr. Multani. I'm already playing a competitive Xenagos deck that takes advantage of green's best spells, so I figured I'd try something new. As you can see, I've pushed green stax/control, something the color does not do exceptionally well, to test the boundaries of the color and to experiment with some cards that don't usually make the cut. In order to further avoid playing things I normally would, I've enforced a 100 dollar budget rule- the lower the better- and have deliberately cut cards that seems too "goodstuff-y" for my purposes. The game plan is to fill the table's hands, drop cards that grant my creatures, and thus Multani, evasion, play Multani, and lockdown the board with control and stax while single striking opponents with commander damage. I've also included token swarm (literally, look at all those bugs) as a backup plan if Multani gets tucked or otherwise shut down. I do realize that optimizing the deck and this strategy with pricier cards is a tempting proposition, but i'm sticking to my original premise for now. With that said, please leave suggestions on what to add, take-out, etc., but only cards that are affordable (i'll let you decide what is and isn't). Obscure control/stax cards are especially appreciated!
