Deck Description

This deck focuses on bringing out the nearly unstoppable Darksteel Colossus. It's a badass card.

Basically your combo is Bitterblossom + Polymorph. Play Bitterblossom and on the next turn Polymorph the faerie you get and you'll cycle through your library until you come up with Darksteel Colossus. Then you dominate.

Lots of counterspells, removal, and creature killers for defensive measures. Save a few counterspells to protect your Colossus when it's out.

Deck discussion for Bring in the Colossus 2.0

yea and after your tapped out theres a card thats run T2 called Path to Exile, which will eliminate your ONLY win condition. If anything you NEED to have 4 darksteels to even make this deck seem worth while.

I agree, you should run four Colossi. It's not like they're legendary or anything.

why not run Inkwells? Shroud, Trample, island walk... its a bit of a better deal than Colossus...

I agree, run somthing beefy (7/7+) with shroud as there are too many easy ways to completely stop this deck.

Also look to add a few cards like distomb to counter mass remove spells. I dont think there is a mass exile spell, so 4x tough shroud creature + distomb + most of this deck and your in for a win.

Oh dear.. bitterblossoms will actually kill you as you have no life-link whatsoever.

Hi and thanks for the great comments.

I thought about running more Colossi, but I figured I had enough counterspells, discard, and bouncing to protect it from spells such as Path to Exile; I'd never tap myself out fully for this sole reason. I was considering adding Counterbores and Double Negative for more affective counters. At most I'd run 2 Colossi, just incase you get one on a draw.

I don't think I'll have bitterblossom in play for more than 4-5 turns so it won't kill me. I couldn't find a card called distomb so I think you meant disentomb. That card won't help me here either because I don't want to play the colossus from my hand: I want to play it from my library via polymorph.

I'm running Darksteel Colossus over Inkwell Leviathan for the sole reason that it's a cool card. "Bring in the Inkwell" doesn't have the same ring to it. Also when Colossus comes into play, the opponent will be like, "Oh fuck, it's the Colossus"

im glad u used my idea also i would use more than 1 colossus i know u have all the counterspells but it wouldnt hurt. maybe run the diabolic tutor so u can get ur pieces quicker umm mabe use protective bubble it will give ur colossus shroud that way u dont have to run the inkwell or any other creature and not have to worry bout ur colossus as much
