A green "land" deck, utilizing liege of the tangle to make my lands into powerful creatures. Suggestions would be great. :)

Interesting deck concept! Okay, you asked for my input, so here it is: You already have a bunch of 8/8 fatties on the board, the last thing you want to do is tap them for mana BEFORE you attack. You don't need them to be bigger than they are. Overwhelming stampede will be a hindrance! You want trample? Good! Best way to trample in this deck? Primal Rage. I suggest taking out all your Stampedes, and putting in two (or maybe three) primal rages (you never need more than one in play at a time). Next problem I see. You have lots of tutors, but NO mana ramp to use them! You have a very high mana curve! Shocklingly high even! You need mana ramp! The best mana ramp in this deck will bring forests in to play for you. I suggest choosing from: Journey of Discovery Oracle of Mul-Daya Nature's Lore Another suggestion for this deck: Timbre Protector + Treefolk Harbinger. Makes your forests (and treefolk) indestructible. As a bonus, Treefolk Harbinger can both look for the Timbre Protector, AND look for forests. Finally, an indestructible 0/3 1 drop mana searcher makes for great initial protection against most creatures (provided they don't have evasion or trample). you will need that protection to build up your combo. I don't think you need distant memories, it's a kind of risky card. Also, you need boots for haste if for nothing else. Otherwise, you finally get your leige out, and you have to wait a turn to attack with her, then wait ANOTHER turn to finally attack with your forests. That gives your opponents 3 turns to deal with and dismantle your strategy. You would also benefit from additional combat phases per turn so you can attack with Leige and your forests on the same turn. These are my initial suggestions, take em' or leave em'. Your deck has potential, but I do think it needs work. :)

Also, Baru, Fist of Krosa would make an excellent win con in this deck, both giving your creatures trample and by giving you lots of other creatures to work with in case you can't get forests to become creatures.
One more thought I had - Dryad Arbor would fit perfectly without taking up any room, just swap out four normal forests for her.
I like vary, and replacing some of my tutors with some mana ramp. I think that is a good call. and I will make those changes. However... Why would the dryad arbor fit well here? I can't figure that one out. :) anyways. Thanks for the advice. :). My knowledge of cards pre-shards of alara is pretty limited.
Ok, so I made some changes. What do you think?

A great improvement, but I'm still iffy about Tooth and Nail and Rude Awakening. I'm not sure if the cost is worth the price. I would consider swapping them out for Boots, which I really think are essential, and maybe two more Barus and/or treefolk harbingers to increase both the power and mana ramp speed of your deck. Baru's great for his first ability, but his greatest asset may be his grandeur, which will put HUGE creatures under your control. The reason I said Dryad Arbor would fit perfectly is because the is by default both a forest and a creature. You would just have to swap out 4 forests and there you have 4 more 1/1 creatures that can still benefit from Timber Protector as indestructible blockers in order to help you buy time, and from Liege when they grow. Another thing you could do to speed up your land growth and attacking is give Leige double strike, that way it deals first strike damage, your lands grow, and THEN they deal damage. For that to work, they would already have to be tapped and attacking creatures. Ambush Commander, Life and Limb, and Hunting Wilds might serve this purpose. That or you could just be attacking with your Dryad Arbors. For double strike, fireshrieker works. Anyway, I'm giving you more ideas than you can possibly fit in to one deck, I guess it's up to you what path you want to take. :)
PS. Just did some checking, and there is no creature other than B.F.M. which I can find that would be able to completely block the damage from a trampling double striking Leige on its own. That's 16 damage to block. It would kill and Emrakul and still have one damage to spare to trigger its own ability, lol.
Sorry, by boots, I meant greaves. Lightning greaves. Even the boots are too slow, because you need one mana to equip them after playing your fat 8 mana creature, so that'll still slow you down at least one more turn. Other than that, I think the deck is much improved! Have you tested it?
Oh, and if you're not going to put 4 barus in, he could probably come out in favor of 2 more defense of the heart. It's up to you though, if you think his ability is that useful.
+1 for the deck idea Kazzong! By the way, Green Sun's Zenith + Dryad Arbor could really be a good/fast land provider if you would consider it.
I have not tested it yet. Most of the decks that I post here are just concepts and ideas that I have. If I had the time and money to build them then I would, but I don't As for the greaves, that makes sense. I will swap it. And Baru is good, but I don't think good enough to have 4 of in THIS deck. The triggered ability is good, for the trample. Green sun and dryad arbor. I like that. How could I fit it in? and thanks for checking this deck out. :)
Honestly, why not either proxy or play online on cockatrice? Best ways to test decks without investing a ton of cash.
Natures lore may be nice for getting forests quick. At least I think thats what its called...whatever the 1G for a forest sorcery is lol
