Deck Description

Who says that druids can't be fearsome? With the might of the forest they manipulate the terrain of the battlefield in their favor.

Mana ramp deck based around gilt-leaf archdruid.
(wish that birds of paradise was a druid.)

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

How to Play

Ramp into gilt-leaf archdruid and then take all their lands. :). Finish them off with gelatinous genesis or decree of savagery. For extra fun use distorting wave after taking all their lands, so they have nothing to block your mighty druid ooze army with.

For extra speed throw in crossroads, which could make this deck go off on turn... Three or so probably. Haven't counted the actual time table for it, so I am not sure.

Come on now, friend, Mana Drain? lol
You would definitely get a few people raising hell at you if you ever played that card on them!

This one has my vote, cheesy Mana Drain or not, looks brutal!

Yeah, I figured I would throw some nonsense cards in here to maximize the already absurd amount of mana I can produce. :). If I were to actually play this I would probably replace it with something a little less obnoxious. Perhaps Counterspell or Lay Bare maybe. :)

I LOVE tribal decks and tribal druids is something you do NOT see. Superb! Did you want to convert this to Modern or keep it Legacy? At the cost, it's hardly Casual anymore, but I have suggestions for both formats, depending on which you want to move it to. =)

Well, to make it Modern legal, you'll have to get rid of Collective Voyage, Distorting Wake, and Sylvan Tutor. To return non-land permanents, you can go for Boomerang or Into the Roil (kick it if you have enough mana and it almost becomes Cryptic Command). Speaking of which, you can add some counterspells (Mana Leak, Cryptic Command) since you have access to blue - slows down your opponent to build up your Druid army. For the Sylvan Tutor, you use Summoner's Pact, although make sure to remember to pay for the Pact on your upkeep! On more than one occasion I've foolishly drew my card without paying the 4 mana on my upkeep and lost the game that way. Nowadays I always put a die or some dice on top of my deck to remind me or stop me from drawing my card without paying mana for the Pact.
