The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

This deck is *my* personal favorite, it is a powerhouse of vampires that can be sacrificed to gain life/attack power and when the opponent thinks they're gone? They come right back with Threshold and my favorite return from the graveyard cards. Of course, I can't forget to add in the Nightmares - one of which was my first card and has followed me through the Magic Years. So, enjoy! -- Yes, I do tend towards the bigger decks, but they work.. This is a fast-medium speed deck so long as it's played right. And yes, this deck CAN be shuffled - quite easily. :)

ok...first of all why is there an angels feather when the deck is mono black? i mean i no it works for both players but unless ur playing a mono white deck its useless, same as death grip. put them in ur side board so wen u do play those colours u can use them. and u say it works but only 22 mana in a 100 card deck seems like it would b hard to maintain mana balance throughout ur games, and ya i see how this is a vampire deck but i just dont understand how it could work sorry :(

Lol. I've got angels feather because in general, I'm playing against a friend who tends to lean towards white - it gives me health while I'm sacrificing that health to do what I need to do. Secondly, I grant you that my mana pool is quite small for the deck size - however I *MOST* of my cards require five mana or less to pull out. Viscera and Guul draz only require 1 to pull out, the rest require in general 2-4 or less. Granted, I do sometimes get 'mana screwed' but I only really *NEED* four to use Diabolic Tutor.. which generally gets my mana if I need it, or my higher power creatures if I don't. Most of my sorceries ALSO require 4 or less mana, so while I'm waiting on Mana, I can generally whap my opponent a few times, gaining life from the damage to cover what I'm getting hit with when they attack me... So it's not so much a mana powerhouse as it is I can get most of my things out with very little mana.I have runs where I don't get more than 1-2, but I also have 'Zombify' which only requires one mana.. So after discarding cards, I use that on my vampires and just pull them right back out of thegraveyard when my mana picks up. It's... takes a bit of 'round the box thinking' to be able to use the deck, becuase at first, most people think 'there's not enough mana'... but once they look at the mana requirement and abilities on my cards, it's not so bad.
I'm correcting myself. It's not Zombify that requires one mana, it was 'Raise Dead'
:D Baron Sengir makes this deck awesome, simply because he is in it. Getting some copies of some of these would be suggestable, I like the idea of this whole thing though. 7/10
Lol! I love him.. I hardly ever use him.because once I get my Cover of darknesses out (one for nightmares and one for Vampires) its'...Game over. XD Because the nightmares are at LEAST 6/6...then add the vampires... lol Yea.. Game over. I love this deck! ^_^ Thanks again! :D
Could throw in Mephidross Vampire, he'd make your Nightmare a vampire.
I still dont understand the Angel feather.... Sideboard it maybe? also, i think it needs more nighthawks. please comment on my deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=88490
