Deck Description

Build for extended.

Please, any input is very welcome as I'd like to try it out and work it out before I buy it :D Counted it and it should be around 70 $, which is not too much if it works, but way too much if it won't.

Lifegain to lifeloss. The idea is built around Sanguine Bond. With its cost, it's crucial to survive until it's on. Lifegain abilities of monsters and some of the white counters should help that.

I've started with a distorted mana curve leaning toward the expensive end, but I hope I fixed it to the extent this deck is able to survive long enough to work its magic.

Some highlights:
- Tainted sigil is a neat thing. Helps you survive early on and could be devastating later in game.
- The more bonds, the more damage you do
- Boon is a killer and multipying effect is insane
- Nighthawk is great for the purpose of this pack
- Lotus for infinite dark rituals in extended format (yay)
- Kalastria with the other vampires = more life
- Ajani helps in keeping the life flowing and boosts the little vampires if needed
- Sorin can help with lifegain and his second ability is neat if the other player needs a kick down the stairs

Some downsides:
- not much going on until 5th turn
- it may deplete some lifegain spells to save yourself until it starts working
- will probably lose to discarding or land control decks, not sure about zerg strategies
- depends heavily on enchantments

Deck discussion for The more I live the more you die

Not bad deck, I love the idea :) And with in 6'th turn it is possible to win the gim by one spell :)

Thanks. It's gone through a lot of changes lately and I'll update it as I've tested it a lot in online play. It's not competetive enough for the top tier decks and suitable only for casual maybe.

It suffered from missing counters to break combos and agro decks. The mana peak is too high and I've ommited a lot of great spells like Martyr of the Sands, Path to Exile, Runed Halo, Oblivion ring and more which give decent protection in white.

It might work even better if I tone down the black contribution in this deck to feed martyr. In fact open the vaults with combination of sanguine bond and martyr could be more productive. The thing is, I'd need something to feed my hand with white cards to make the bang.

So I'll update this with the version with counters and work on the open vault one.

Now I'm playing a variant of stupid life with a lot of counters which I call ThopterLife. It's funny how even against some good decks, when they're played badly, it can keep. Though I've been beaten a lot by poly/hyper/other to Emrakul. With no Oblivion ring on hand, it's game over.
