Deck Description

Welcome to my secret lair on Skullcrusher Mountain.

As you can see, my mountain is covered in wolves.

Hear them howling, my hungry children... Maybe you should just stay a while and have a drink, and think about me and you?

Okay. So it's not a mountain; I get it. This deck is still an homage to Jonathan Coulton's song "Skullcrusher Mountain" (www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_ryNJVreiY) and is still covered in wolves.

Use the massive ramp to get Forests into play quickly, and inexpensive creatures to hold the line. Garruk is important because he gives you free floating mana (and that starts adding loyalty counters for his overrun ability).

Once you have Parallel Lives in play, use Howl of the Night Pack to put a bunch of wolves in play, and Alpha Status to make one of those wolves hugenormous.

You can also use Feed the Pack to get rid of your non-token creatures at this point for additional tokens, although Deadly Recluse (a.k.a. ROIDSPIDER) is still a very effective deterrent against flying.

With a large grip of wolves in play, use Garruk's overrun ability or simply throw Rancor on your BIG BAD (Alpha Status) WOLF and swing at their weak spot for massive damage.
