Deck Description

I had an idea for a deck this morning. The neat thing about Grixis is that there are far too many cards that are effective and can be played anywhere.

I wanted to do six planeswalkers, but Koth of the Hammer really doesn't fit in this deck. So the sixth Insidious villain is Wurmcoil Engine. :)

Deck discussion for The Insidious Six

why wouldn't you put in nicol bolas he even has the right colors and he rips face as soon as he hits the table plus the jaces counter each other so you still only have 5 i'd go with sarkhan the mad instead and maybe some thrummingbirds to get the planeswalkers bigger faster.

Nicol Bolas would be amazing if they would reprint him in Mirrodin. As of right now, this deck is meant to be standard. Also, Thrummingbird is a nice idea but with the lack of creatures here, he's almost certain to be blocked.

oh standard well you can still use sarkhan the mad and with thrummingbird you can use him to block too and if you can get in an attack or two you still win and if they don't have fliers they won't be blocked at all and then the planeswalkers can take care of there creatures.

I did look at Sarkhan the Mad, but he's more for a Jund dragons deck, which is not what this is. The only thing I could see him being useful for is his +0 ability where you draw a card and if you get Sorin then Sarkhan dies right away. That turn, you will have spent 5 mana to draw a card you would have gotten your next turn- and your opponent now knows what you have too.
