I like Lightning Bolt, but Forked Bolt is better because I can take out a Birds of Paradise and a Lotus Cobra at the same time.

Garruk Wildspeaker and Lotus Cobra. If you can get Primeaval Titan out early, you'll have no worries.
I really don't know how this deck will do. It seems to need a lot of things to happen at once. But I generally play for fun. :)
I did look at Sarkhan the Mad, but he's more for a Jund dragons deck, which is not what this is. The only thing I could see him being useful for is his +0 ability where you draw a card and if you get Sorin then Sarkhan dies right away. That turn, you will have spent 5 mana to draw a card you would have gotten your next turn- and your opponent now knows what you have too.
Nicol Bolas would be amazing if they would reprint him in Mirrodin. As of right now, this deck is meant to be standard. Also, Thrummingbird is a nice idea but with the lack of creatures here, he's almost certain to be blocked.
See you in the top 8? :P
Wrecked by blockers...? That's kind of what Distortion Strike is for. Also, don't underestimate being able to give Double Strike at instant speed with the Leylines. I put enough removal in here so the deck can last long enough (hopefully) to get the infect to go off. If I get Plague Stinger on turn 2, then Swipe and Strike on turn 3, I'm dealing 4 poison counters. Then next turn, rebound happens...if I have another Swipe, it's game.
As a creature-based deck, this one is a lot better. I think Reflecting Pool would serve you better than City of Brass. Also, I would replace Hunter Sliver with Winged Sliver. This deck has no way to deal with flying creatures. I would also either run fetch lands or more variety of basic lands. Half your mana base is set towards red/white, which means that you're pretty much screwed if you can't draw the other lands and you have Crystalline Sliver, Gemhide and Legion in your hand.
Okay, you need three things in this deck: draw spells, counter spells and removal spells. Keep in mind that Slivers are powerful when they are all together, but they're small at first. You will want to be able to stop Tarmogoyf early on without chump blocking. I played Shifting Sliver as well, but I found that he was unnecessary if you play the deck like it was control. Coat of Arms is unnecessary when you have Legion. The Coat will also help people who are running Fairies and Merfolk, which you don't want. I like Homing Sliver, but he costs too much mana to activate and you have to discard something. If you want to search out stuff, Overlord is better. Not only do you get a 7/7, you can also search stuff on the same turn it comes into play because it's not a tap ability.
I run Harmonic Sliver primarily to deal with Umezawa's Jitte and Sensei's Divining Top, two cards that every legacy deck seems to have. I am also debating about adding Quick Sliver, which would enable me to destroy those things at instant speed while gaining a creature. I'm not really worried about wrath effect spells in Legacy, because it hurts the other guy's side just as much as it does mine. Also, having pro-white won't stop wrath from destroying everything, because it also destroys Progenitus.
I know that the lands are the weakest part of the deck so far. I could put in Amulet of Vigor if I wanted to, but that's only if I saw that the rest of the cards were doing what they were supposed to do. I'm just playing with the lands I have for now. It's going to be hard to get all those Legacy lands that are like 50 dollars a piece.
Yeah, I've played this deck quite a bit and I have to agree that Eldrazi Monument is the card that can make this work all the way around. Getting tokens is not a problem at all, and I could have indestructible blockers. It's a really good idea.
That's right, I forgot Mutavault can become a knight too. The only card I could see myself putting in would be Akroma, Angel of Wrath and that's just way too much mana for legacy. This deck doesn't address a lot of things that are going on in the legacy metagame; I guess you could say it's more for casual play than anything.
All you have to do is mulligan until you get a crusher. You don't have to worry about getting mana screwed in this deck. Once you have a crusher, you play him on turn 3 and then on your next turn, you put land cards in your graveyard until you find either a Quest or another Crusher. If you find a Quest, you can keep doing it over and over and pump the Crusher up endlessly.
