This one is one of my all time favorites. Samurai are my favorite tribe and I would like to make this deck really work. It is rough given that there are so few Samurai in game. Any suggestions are appreciated!!!
This deck wants to bolster Bushido points with Sensei Golden Tail as well as buffing with Door of Destinies. Flying is an issue unless you can get a Mothrider big enough to counter aerial threats. Konda is a good attacker or defender late game especially if you can get a Takeno to survive all the removal running aroundAs I said any suggestions are welcome!

Have you considered adding in the actual bolster mechanic? I think it would help immensely here. And one rather significant upgrade I would suggest is adding at least two copies of Citadel Siege. The two counters every combat are greatly beneficial

I agree with the addition of the 2x Citadel Siege however the bolster mechanic is good but I think Support is better. Mainly since the cards you would want with bolster are creatures which will take away from the flavour of the Samurai. With the exception of Scale Blessing which could be a 1 or 2 of. I think Shoulder to shoulder could work well as a 2 or 3 of. I think I would cut The Door to Dwestinies and the No-Dachi for this. They're both pretty slow and don't have any immediate effect on the board.
That sounds like a fair trade-off. A buddy of mine runs two in one of his decks and they are honestly such a pain to deal with as an opponent. I also honestly forgot about the support mechanic. Whatever works though
Indeed. Obviously kamakazi339 should play test the suggestions but I think they will make the deck better over all.
I do enjoy the support mechanic with cards like shoulder to shoulder. First strike is to much of a help to this deck so I don't really see dropping No-Dachi as a good investment. Door of Destinies gives this deck all of its power even though it is slow. I was thinking about dropping entangler, maybe indebted samurai, and possibly dropping door of destiny to 2 or 3 of. Any thoughts on this?
Well if first strike is really what does it for you replace No-Dachi with Archetype of Courage or Knighthood. Having to spend 5 mana before getting any value out of it seems really bad to me. Especially since it's only boosting one creature that can easily be removed after doing so. I really wouldn't advise cutting any creatures considering your only running 18 as it is now. I do agree Entangler could be cut and if the Door is working then make it a 2 of. Citadel Siege will do more for this deck then the door I'm sure of it.
I would suggest knighthood over archetype of courage. Archetype can be hit by enchant and creature removal both, so that's not really a good choice here.
Very true.
So possibly drop 2 doors + Entangler + No-Dachi and add in 2x Knighthood, 2x Citadel Siege and 2x creatures?
Sounds like a plan. As for the two creatures, how about Devoted Retainer? Gives you a much needed one drop. Also on that suggestion, maybe drop a Kitsune Blademaster and Sensei Golden-Tail to make it a four of.
Edited: -1 door of destinies-2 entangler-3 nodachi+1 Arabia mothrider - for flying + 2 citadel siege - for buffing+2 knighthood - for first striking+1 - indebted samurai - for being awesome Good?
I still feel like you should add a one drop in here. Beyond that it looks great!
Yea I'm gonna throw devoted retainerin the sideboard
Cool deck man! Love the theme! I know she's mono- white at the moment but if you wanted to experiment with a splash of green you could throw in doubling season, hardened scales, and rancour ( to let tge bushido counters trample) . 2 enduring scalelords woukd get huge in this deck if you could cheat them in together using something like defense of the heart. Innistrad has a green I stand called clip wings that could help take down some flyers for you, but your dawn charms should help with the fog effect. Nice build!
I tried going dual colored with this deck at one point but it never seemed to flow properly. I feel as if the only way to get consistent power with this small of a tribe is to stay mono and play to the strengths of the most abundant color available. However, I will give your suggestions a look!
