really nice project you have there! congrats! i was actually thinking about introducing my 13 years old son to the wonderful game that is Magic! I may end up trying one of your decks to teach him how to play this game :) keep up the good work!

playing with Hedron Crab, i higly suggest you to try Oboro, Palace in the Cloud. That way you can trigger a landfall on each turn and it does the same job than a basic island.Surgical Extraction can becomes a real control nightmare for your opponents if you can afford them.
Withstand Death is something that could be amazing to protect your Obliterator, especially if your intentions are to make him fight, or just to protect him against removal spell.....Heroic Intervention could also works but cost 2 instead of 1.
Kopala should be something to include too
fuck that is an insane deck!4x Kumena for sure, in modern it will be a prime target for every opponent.A litte bit more love in you lands and you would have a killer deck!thumbs up :)
if you want to include some white cards, Saving Grace is absolutely wonderful with Obliterator
to accelerate the deck, why not include some Birds of Paradise? that way on turn 3 you can easily have your Obliterator on the field.Otherwise.....other than Dark Ritual (in legacy/vintage)....theres nothing really useful you can do...too bad Deathrite Shaman is banned from Modern or it would have done wonders! Urborg, Tomb and Filter lands are must when playing Obliterator.I really really love Phyrexian Obliterator and it really deserve a full deck focused around him!
hehehe no problems, for a while i experimented on block only decks, in Amonkhet and Hour specifically.really fun to do and i dont want to discourage you from continuing to do so ;)
excellent job at it for your deck :)i just wrote a comment for the original deck you cloned from MightyShoe that could interest you. Some cards like Blossoming Defense are cheap to buy and do wonders. Evolving Wild can also help you at a cheap price.I'm actually working on a B/G explore deck if you want to take a look.Allelujah people are starting to brew again in standard!!!
Excellent! i'm currently working on a B/G explore deck for standard, and i love to see someone else trying to exploit that beautiful mechanic that is Explore :)Little suggestion to increase a little bit the speed of your deck: 4x Emissary of Sunrise and 4x Merfolk Branchwalker (and you should completly remove the Sunrise Seeker.....way too heavy on the mana cost for the value). If you can have access to them (if money is not a problem), Jadelight Ranger can do wonders in this deck!.Also, in standard right now the best protective spell in green is Blossoming Defense, something you should include 4x instead of Blinding Fog and maybe just reduce by 2 the number of Verdant Rebirth. Blossoming Defense is a protective spell as well as a combat trick, so really versatile.Other than that, Evolving Wild can be a good land as it will thin your library a little and makes your Explore trigger more constant if your goal is the +1+1 counters.Bravo for this deck, continue your good work!
what about Blight? remember there is an erata on it so that now the land is destroyed as soon as it is tapped, not at the end of the turn anymore (see the 8th edition version). Early Frost was a card i really liked when i played a deck of this kind.Really annoying deck.....i like it!!!
nature's way is by far the best ''fake battle'' card created for standard right now! no it's not an instant, but at least you don't have to fear to lose a creature in the process, and at the same time, gives Trample, grat ability for creatures like Emperor's Vanguard and the likes. Other than that, good job! i really like the concept with Panharmonicon!
no Phyrexian Crusader? probably the best Infect enhanced creature ever printed.....is it a budget deck? because the price tag is very low, so this may be a reason you did not include it.
curious homunculus would be a great addition to this deck :)
shrieking affliction or the rack + bottomless pit = slow and agonizing pain your opponent can't escape!Waste not is a must, don't put it in the sideboard, put it in your main deck! Each of its ability is a staple in this kind of deck: card advantage, blockers (it's a slow killing machine you're building, so you need some defenses against aggro deck) and mana to cast more spells. Works especially well with Dark Ritual, another card you should consider so that you can start to disrupt the hand of your opponent ASAP.Hymn to tourach is simply the best discard spell ever, second only to thoughtseize.
no mirran crusader? simply the best double strike enhanced creature ever made.if you can afford them, umezawa's jitte is simply amazing when equiped on a double strike creature.
ho yeah! that's my kind of deck! i think it's something that should be done more often: old school magic when Shivan Dragon and Serra Angel were ruling the sky! Savannah Lion was a rare as a 2/1 for 1 mana drop, now those cards are merely common cards, and they're telling me that its the vintage format that is broken?! i say that vintage is broke only because of most recent cards combined with the olds, but playing only with old cards is something really fun to do and not at all broken (i even think a standard deck is still stronger than a deck of this kind without the power 9s). I applause you and your group for that! WOTC should create a new format based on that: nostalgia.
no slither blade?.......far better than triton shorestalker....and still budget!
You should definitely put Early Frost and Blight in your main deck!
also, if you want a really interesting card: Surgical Extraction, a perfect control card for this kind of deck
