UPDATE: Probable changes, version 2.5: -2 Darien-2 Gideon's Avenger-2 Gideon's Lawkeeper-2 Gideon Jura+2 Captain of the Watch+1 Mentor of the Meek+3 Precinct Captain+1 Cathars' Crusade+1 PlainsLate changes: Removed the Mentors as I learned that the buffs and counters are resolved before the creature comes into play and I don't get to draw cards most of the time. Replaced it with +1 Precint and +2 Benalish Commander. Added +1 Kjeldoran Outpost (for more tokens) and +2 Windbrisk Heights (as is really easy to attack with more than three creatures on this deck)UPDATE (9/2015): Been making changes to try to make de deck faster and more token based.-2 Cathar's Crusade-2 Soul Warden-2 Brave the elements-2 Plains-1 Captain of the Watch+2 Ranger of Eos (allows fetching Champions of the Parrish or Gideons)+2 Kytheon Iora+2 Launch The Fleet (for looooots of tokens)+2 Nyktos, Shrine to Nyx+1 Raise The AlarmMore changes? Yes!Added 3 Thalia's Lieutenant (all my creatures are humans) and 2 Soldiers of the Panteon (to get 8 one drops). Also replaced Elspeth Tirel for the Knight Errant. Cards removed: Honor of the Pure, -1 Precinct Captain, -1 Rise the Alarm and -1 Captain of the Watch.Changes are ideally to make the deck faster. Comments? The sideboard are the cards that I took of the previos versions of the deckTks to everyone that voted this deck!

Where's your mana? Given your relatively high curve you need 3 or 4 more and kjeldoran outpost (while I would keep it in the deck) doesn't really count towards Your land total as you sac a land to play a land other then that I'd run 4 captain of the watch over Darien for te reason that if captain is removed you keep 3 solider and she also buffs for a kill that turn while the king is a bit slower and you get no refit if he's doom bladed

Thanks for the comment man! I am serioslly considering adding two extra lands, maybe removing 1 Gideon Lawkeeper and 1 Avenger. I agree with the Capitain vs Darien, but Darien also intimidates the oponent not to attack you, while yhe Capitain doesn't. Finally my mana curve is lowered by the Daru Warchiefs, if you check on Gatherer, Darien also counts as a soldier. Although I must also say that I was thinking in adding two Bellyrush (1W 1/1 kitkin soldier that lowers your soldier spells by 1). Thanks again and keep the comment comming!
the darien soulwarden combo is great i run it in a green white deck but i'd find room for odrics crusaders or odric himselfin there and the ballyrush bannerets are also a great idea
Thanks for the comment man. In my original deck I included something similar to the Odric Crusader (Benalish Hero). My problem with that card and even Odric or the Ballyrush is what to remove? If any ideas I am all ears!
pretty sweet but why no veteran armorer/swordsmith ? also in your free time check out these decks please: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=382602 http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=364714
Because I would have to remove the Gideon guys or the Mentor of the Meek. The last one gives me loots of cards considering the amount of tokens I put into play. If any ideas what to remove I am all ears ^^. If you check the previous version you would see that those were in the deck previously.
Nice build. I suggest Ancient Tomb to speed up your deck considerably. Its really nice with Darien, King of Kjeldor and Soul Warden in play at the same time. Preeminent Captain,Odric, Master Tactician and Enlistment Officer all very powerful in soldiers. Good Luck with the deck!
Thanks it has already seen some play ^^. Nice cards you suggested, the problem is what to remove. I am trying to keep it stricktly human, for the champion of the parrish. The problem with the tomb is the damage it deals to me, but might consider it as I see how the deck works with my own life.
In that case Mother of Runes, Weathered Wayfarer, and Ranger of Eos are all very effective cards and are all humans. Here is a Humans build I put together a little while back, I haven't actually built the deck yet but I think you will like it. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=241633
You have a great deck. the only thing i would suggest would be intangible virtue. It would throw your theme a little but hero of bladehold would be great the tokens are soldiers but i think shes a knight. i like the 2 of each for darien and captain.
Exactly, the Hero of Bladehold is a knight. Tought about it, but prefered the Daru Warchiefs. The intangible? Prefered the Honor of the Pure as it also affects my non token creatures and the vigilance comes from the Captain. Thanks for commenting!
Unified Strike seriuosly
Don't know the card. Going to check that out. Tks.
would give my infinte horde mana burn deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=384102
I like the idea of this deck, I have yet to see a soldier deck build with such high mana costs but a brute powerhouse once you get going. You can check mine out for a quick/beatdown/control style. May get some ides to boost things without the mana cost. In my opinion Mobilization would kill in this deck as you can use it multiple times later in the game, and it only cost 3 to get out, rather than Captain of the Watch. and if you already have a few pumpers, you are esentially tossing out 2/2 or 3/3 soldiers every turn. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=385352
Tks for the comment! I've considered the Mobilization, but the Capitain pumps and also gives me the tokens at the same time. I considered the mana curve issue, but the Daru warchief really helps with that. This deck can also work good at the beggining, just that it becomes really something else in the late game.
Why dont you try martial coup, if you pay 7 for it it gives you 5 1/1 white soldier tokens after a board wipe. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=389120
I was really thinking to add that card as a sideboard! Among crowd control Espeth Tirel really works for this deck. Tks for the comment ^^

maybe splash red for assemble the legion?
Splashing red seems unnecessary in this deck, as it has many ways of putting tokens into play. And believe me that I can put lots. Besides, Assemble the Legion is to slow in the way it puts tokens into play.Tks for the comment and a like to the deck wouldn't hurt =P
Pretty cool deck! How does having 4 Captain of the Watch work out for you? I'd normally run 2 copies. Maybe 3 at most since I never want more than one in my opening hand. I've never really tested so I'd like your take. Although Soul Warden is cool, I'd suggest maybe Perimeter Guard? Ever seen him? A little more on theme, still prevents damage and nets life on the whole. Receives bonuses from your other guys as well :)
I know the Captain is expensive on CMC, but the Daru Warchief really helps out, and you can play it on turn 5. Specially the Captain + Cathar's Crusade is a game ender. Otherwise, what would you suggest including? Odric?I've thought about removing the Soul Warden, because of the flavor. You mean the Perimeter Captain? The Perimeter Guard sounds good, but I am not convinced that much about the lifegain and the defender. The Warden ends up gaining more life, specially with the great amount of tokens you can put into play.Tks for the comment!
As said above: Even been thinking in removing 1 Captian of the Watch and 1 Raise the Alarm for 2 Benalish Captains and Replacing Elspeth Tirel for Elspeth, Knight Errant. Any opinions on that?Main idea into that is to keep lowering the curve, but I would't like to compromise the buffing or token production. I guess I'll have to give it a try.
