Small creatures to help build up to Essence of the Wild. From that point onwards you can overrun the enemy with your remaining 1 mana (6/6) creatures.

Loving this deck Jim !!! Although I think it needs one more Essence of the Wild to make it more successful. Switch out the Viridian Emissary's for some Avacyn's Pilgrims too. :)

Thanks Tone! I've taken your advice as those Viridian Emissary's were too expensive and didn't guarantee mana.
Played some games with this deck, and have reworked it. Main changes: • Moorland Haunt was not powerful enough to justify splashing Blue. -> Replaced with more Green/White. • Weak to Flying / Intimidate / Hexproof -> Added Mimic Vat which can copy all of these (especially if forced to die with Beast within) -> This works especially well with Parallel Lives
Also, the biggest improvement with Mimic Vat is insurance against Essence of the Wild getting killed before he had time to "lock in" with copies. With the Mimic Vat, I can take an Imprint and try again next turn.
I think this is looking MUCH better!!!! 4 elves + 4 Birds + 3 rampant growths gives you 11 cards to ramp your mana base up to 6 to get Essence of the Wild out. Stick out Mimic Vat before hand for extra insurance as you said. I like the adjustments to your removal spells - 9 cards to deal with threats. The additional of Prey upon is a nice cheap option! I noticed you had removed the Avacyn's Pilgrim's. You could if you want to, remove 2 Llanowar Elves and replace with 2 Avacyn's Pilgrims so you have a mix of 4 ramp cards that produce both green and white mana. Not sure how badly you need white... but at least it's a bit more equal. Overall, I'm quite excited to play against this new variation as it's looking alot more sturdier than before!!

Jade Mage would work very well in this deck.
That's a good point. That or maybe "Mayor of Avabruck" for some free tokens when he transforms.
