i think i can play in both
i was thinking the same thing
so are you gonna try to play in both, or just one?
well, i think the crux of it is the same: solid creatures with the option of going off with quillspike/devoted druid; i actually don't think bitterblossom is a bad choice either (although it IS kind of counter to cloudthresher)... you could probably start with that guy's deck, and just keep playing and tweaking it to your liking. I think you should definitely at least try integrating the scarblade elite thing, since that's like super removal recycling!
i think i wanna play this deck or maybe tweek mine
it's solid, but it COULD be better... like, why not profanes instead of vess? Anyway, i need a new friggin computer so i can play test with you guys, cuz right now the only laptop with windows i have blows ass...
yeah that deck looks way more solid than mine.
yeah, i know there's one in san diego next week, and then one in anaheim week after that; I'm just trying to figure out what I'm gonna play: i'm not sure whether to evolve that merfolk a bit or net deck a river kelpie deck...
im down for block ptq...
i think thoughtsieze would be good in this deck.
It's similar to yours, but i'm not sure if I like redcaps: but yeah, the Scarblade Elite synergy is pretty awesome- but crib swaps might be better than redcaps... btw, are you gonna try to play in one of the ptqs?
This deck took 1st at a gp trial: Creatures 4 Chameleon Colossus 2 Cloudthresher 4 Devoted Druid 3 Kitchen Finks 4 Murderous Redcap 3 Quillspike 4 Scarblade Elite Legendary Creatures 1 Oona, Queen Of The Fae Planeswalkers 2 Liliana Vess Sorceries 4 Firespout 1 Rite Of Consumption Tribal Instants 4 Nameless Inversion Basic Lands 2 Forest 1 Swamp Lands 3 Auntie's Hovel 3 Fire-lit Thicket 4 Gilt-leaf Palace 1 Graven Cairns 3 Mosswort Bridge 2 Reflecting Pool 3 Twilight Mire 2 Vivid Grove
right you are i thought it said target creature.
Splashed green to try fitting the colossus instead of wake thrasher... if it doesn't work, i'll just go back to straight U/W
well, the wording is "Remove a -1/-1 counter from a creature you control: Quillspike gets +3/+3 until end of turn." Since it doesn't say target, it doesn't target. -krut
I'd recommend trying out Mothdust changeling: it's a good tap outlet for Grimoire Thief and the Schoolmaster, and can later tap for drowner of secrets as well. And I'd recommend playing at least 23 land...
it does target...the creature with a -1/-1 but it doesn't target itself
actually, quillspike's ability doesn't target anything at all, so that would be fine.
