This is a mean green mana ramping machine, quite litterally runs like a machine on clock work, it works like a charm once you know how to use it man it can get scary.I called it a journey through the forest for a reason, it quite literally is one, you start with the basic things you run into a market make your way into a forest suddenly you run into a few centaurs and some elves making there rounds, then things get more dangerous as you get deeper more wild life more threats suddenly your being overwhelm by hornets, Running for Terra stompers, meeting crazy old hermits in caves trying to poison you with there soup, ( and why yes those are is dirty loin cloths mix into the brew) then when all seems like you've had a bad day and you wanna come home you trip into a nest of hydras. at least your partners cooking your favorite dinner tonight. if you can make it home alive that is.
This deck is solely based around creating so much mana that you don't know what to do with it, ......EXCEPT PUMP IT INTO EVERYTHING YOU GOT !!! your start hand may very but when it's good oh boy is it ever good.T1, forest and an elvish mystic,T2 forest, Harrow, (get a forest and a Mountain) if you can drop a heir of wildT3 play market festival, and a forestT4 drop what ever you got cuz you got enough mana to play at least a terra stomper or a hornet queen. that of course is best case senario.but that aside, the mana ramp really comes from xenagos, the acolytes, and the coursers, The coursers- can be really helpful to remove mana off the top of your deck, so that your drawing creatures almost consistently, always make sure your using the mana off the top before playing any more, that means if your pack leader is out make sure the chain of creatures comes to a halt first.Xenagos- most people i ask don't like him but i've used this guy alone to create the best chain of mana I could think of and it's all in the tokens. +1 add X amount of Green or Red mana to your mana pool for each creature you control. using his ability plus your mana from the acolytes and what ever else dump your mana into anything token related, use roaring primadox to continuously pick up your hornet queen pump your mana into the soul of zendikar, and finally the broodmaster ......the brood master alone is a bad ass card though i've been told from a couple players you can only dump so much mana into them, if thats the case well this deck is ruined if not then keep reading, every time you dump a but load of mana into the hydra you get that many x/x hydras. using this ability with the roaring primadox you can continuesly pump your mana into this guy.that being said using xenagos to create more tokens gives you more creatures and essentially doubles your mana (not quite litterally but you get my point) you can then go from there you can boost your hydra one last time wait a turn dump your mana into your elder of laurels target the hydra and then use solidarity of heroes to double the counters he originally had on him from monstrosity then use your pit fight to target your hornets nest to create that many tokens, then on the turn after that pick up your hydra drop it again and pay into it with the mana from xenagos.......or you know ....you could just pump into the hydra after like 30 mana give him prowlers helm and finish the game but hey where's the fun in that :D ! anything else is mearly your way of creating a wall of creature to block for you while you do this ....BEWARE ANYTHING THAT WIPES THE FEILD LATE GAME !! If your gunna go all out like what i described make the next two games as quick and easy cuz you never know if someone has something like that in there side board or even in there deck.

as a side note I'm running path breaker ibex in my casual play since it's a commander card. if you attack with it, it gives everything your attacking with the same power and toughness equal to the greatest power of creatures you control - I.e your Hydra
