That is kinda stupid. I agree with that summary of usage.

At the time I'm viewing this, its not legal in any format. What are your intentions?
I think if you're going to go with 5 colors, you should add the five experience counter commander cards into the deck for an added mechanic.
Throw in a heavy arbalest or viridian longbow somewhere, and you can use any of those infinite tap/untap combos with Umbral Mantle to do direct game winning damage. Or Mage Slayer. Ramp up that mana and the power of the creature with umbral mantle, then attack and "Whenever equipped creature attacks, it deals damage equal to its power to defending player."or Surestrike Trident, which has "{T}, Unattach Surestrike Trident: This creature deals damage equal to its power to target player." re-equip for 4. redo its effect to another player. etc.
I love card advantage, so thats what I aimed for. More spells, less helplessness. Besides, a wizard is supposed to have the mental advantage yeah? lol. Thats why I like anything that will give you a draw as an extra effect.
Also the list I used was from whatever it was when I posted the comment, with just the changes listed above to add onto the wizard/jedi shit. I don't have a Frost Titan. I think I ran 2 disciple of the ring.
I put only 3 of the Sage's Dousing, Only 3 of the Icy Blast, I cut 2 islands out and both of the Stonybrook Banneretts. and I cut out 1 Vedalken AEthermage because it didn't need to pop up so often. so - 7 cards. I put in 4 Stream of Unconsciousness(target creature-4/-0 if you control a wizard draw a card) and 3 Peek instead of Gitaxian probe because the flavor text says "sometimes you have to read between the minds" which keeps in theme with Jedi Mind tricks.
I like it. I made it. I played it. I got fourth place in a tournament. lols all around.
oran-rief hydra would make a great addition to this deck and its very cheap. growing off of landfall, it plays very well into this idea.
I really like this deck, have you considered Conjurer's Closet?
How I overlooked that I'll never know. I'd just swap it for wheel of torture I guess.
If you take out the rack and wheel of torture you have a modern deck
You really do. Your budget deck series is amazing, and I have followed it for a long time. I only played modern and standard, and I have (since losing all my cards) actually put together 10 of these decks IRL. Made a few minor modifications for availability and playstyle but thats it. I love them all.
Yeah, a fat pack box holds 3 ultra pro deck boxes and a 3/4 inch (maybe 1 inch? idk) container that I kept dice in. I had 6 filled fatpack boxes and a trades binder inside a computer bag because it was an awesome bag and looked professional. I could carry it around at work and nobody questioned it. Some guys broke into my vehicle and grabbed my bag after breaking into four other vehicles. I assume they thought there was a computer in it, which makes me think that when they didn't find the computer, they probly tossed the bag and all the cards. v.v
Also, modern tag plz? Love the decks.
How about Hornet Queen? Shes a 7 drop 2/2 with flying and deathtouch but she gives you four 1/1 insects with flying and deathtouch when she enters the battlefield. Would be useful to help control the field in addition to your dungeon geists. Shes like a dollar too.
Yeah I got a promo foil one from a friend for about a buck in trade value back when they first came out since he wasn't going to use it. Traded it away a week ago for 28 bucks worth of stuff. Unfortunately last week all of my cards, every last one, were stolen. Hence my renewed interest in your budget deck series. You do a lot of awesome work man.
Love all your work NorthernWarlord, can we get a modern tag on some of these modern legal budget decks so they are easier to find?
No longer under a 50 buck value. Sadly. I like it though.
