Deck Description

If you like infinite combos, hornets, squirrels and silly decks, this deck is for you.
I now will introduce you to this deck and all the combos that are in it.

1: get pandemonium, a creature with druid's call on it and a mortal's resolve or a withstand death and essence warden or another one powered creature. How it works is you play the mortal's resolve targeting the creature with the druid's call on it, then play the one powered creature or essence warden, when it enters the battlefield pandemonium allows it to deal 1 damage to something. Choose the creature with the druid's call on it, and remember that that creature is indestructible. Then you get a squirrel and the pandemonium trigger allows you to ping the creature with the druid's call on it, and overall get infinite creatures, and if you have a essence warden in play you also gain infinite life!

You can replace pandemonium with warstorm surge, and replace the druid's call with hornets nest.
Other things you can do with this deck are playing druid's call on hornets nest, so you get two creatures when you target it with pandemonium/warstorm surge
and make the second trigger target your opponent to win on the spot!
Also you can bring in the blasting stations in from the side board for cards like ghostly prison, or rakdos charm. Mid combo you use the station to shoot them until the die!
The wall of blossoms is to protect you for a little while and it replaces itself.
I hope you all enjoy and if you have any Ideas please tell me!

Put Stuffy Doll in the Sideboard :) It is nice with Call and Station.

Yavimaya Kavu combos nice with Call. But I like Wall of Blossoms as a blocker. He rocks.

I would suggest Lure...but...maybe not. It would force them to block and you would get the tokens. If you were to consider...since you have 8 cards that grant indestructibility...you might take a few out of those to find a place for something else.

You did not add it:
But, your How to Play Section...or what you basically are looking for is this (for anyone that didn't understand the combo):

Turn 1. Forest. Llanowar Elves
Turn 2. Mountain. Druid of the Anima
Turn 3. Forest. Play Squirrel Mob. Play Druid's Call on Mob.
Turn 4. Mountain. Play Pandemonium. Play Essence Warden. Good game!

Right? All the extra cards are just extra, right?
I mean...if I am not mistaken, and I am AWFUL with rules...but every time you do 1 damage to Squirrel Mob, he will get +1/+1...so he won't die, right? So you just keep targeting him (via Pandemonium) every time you bring a Squirrel token into play (via Call). Technically you don't even need the indestructible cards.

I like it!

If anyone knows of any cards that would just stop the combo, please alert me of them, and I'll try to find cards to stop them. :)

Blue control cards stop most combo decks :) As would Naturalize/Disenchants.

With that in mind, Avoid Fate or Molten Influence would be good cards to add to your deck. Autumn's Veil and Guttural Response are also good against those blue control cards.

Thanks for commenting! It is kindof budget because it is not competitive, but it is actually not to hard to assemble the combo. Please tell me do you like this deck? :)

Noxious Revival is good if things kill your combo pieces.

Birds of Paradise instead of Druid of the Anima?

0
Posted 01 September 2014 at 17:04

I thought about that, but The one power is actually really important because if you get a combo you need a warstorm surge trigger or pandemonium trigger so the power is really important. :)

I'm not a judge but I don't think blasting station will stop Rakdos Charm. Since you have to give a number for your creatures to end the cycle or else it's a draw. It would be at that point your opponent will cast the charm then your suggesting to use the blasting station which needs a creature to come in to untap it. I very well be missing something here. If anyone can clear this up I'd be grateful. It's kinda racking my mind.
Excellent deck BTW +1 from me.

I think you are right, thanks for that! But I think that if you sacrifice each creature as soon as it comes into play, it will beat rakdos charm but you won't get infinite creatures, you'll just deal infinite damage. The leyline of vitality does kind of stop the charm as I gain 400 life, then I lose 400 life, so it does what it normally does. :)

0
Posted 02 September 2014 at 19:56

Yes the leyline deals with Rakdos charm well. I just didn't think Blasting Station worked the way you mentioned.

I don't know, but imagine if you did that on magic online and the stack would be just messed up. :)

if you put druids call on hornet nest you get infinite squirrels and insects with deathtouch

0
Posted 02 September 2014 at 21:57

Not only that, but when the tokens enter the battlefield, You choose to have all the squirrels deal the damage to the hornet nest, and the hornets deal damage to your opponent! :)

What about Traproot Kami instead of Wall of Blossoms as a blocker?
I know that you need creatures at 1 power to trigger the combo, but should you put the Kami and afford to lose the Call, you might end up with a modern legal deck!

0

I would put it in, but the draw a card is really helpful. I don't think I can take out the druid's call without making this deck just bad. :)

0
Posted 03 September 2014 at 22:02

Yep, Wall of Blossoms is one of the best cards in the deck.
Great blocker. Stalls opponent.
Draws you a card. Can be used with Druid's Call.
Definitely a keeper!

I agree with Jessie on the Blossoms. This is a great build but I really don't see this being able to deal with the current tier 1 decks in modern. So it probably would be all for not anyway. However I just started playing modern 7 months ago and still have a lot to learn so take that whatever it is. lol, just an opinion

Okay, Julian123. You asked if you could help with any decks.
So...just for you, I haven't even posted the deck to the Public.
It is still unlisted/private.

I want your advice:

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/11-turn-2-win-no-rares/

As you can see, it is trying to Win on Turn 2, with no rares, and cost less than 12 dollars.

This deck is freakin' amazing! I wouldn't change a thing, except that you should have 2-3 more red mana sources... ...I know that this is a budget deck, but there must be some more lands that you could use, like the new LifeLands that will be released in Khans... ...they're common.......

Please, check out my two Modern decks at top decks("Kiki-Jiki, Time Freezer" & "Red Moon Sage Control") & give your opinion on them! I'd like to hear it...

Instead of Warstorm Surge, I think Purphoros, God of the Forge would be a better idea. Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, Purphoros deals 2 damage to each opponent. Plus, it cost four to play over Warstorm Surge that is six. Then another idea is drop a Hornets Nest, then Purphoros, then play a Shivan Meteor on Hornets Nest dealing thirteen damage to it, bring in thirteen Hornets and dealing twenty six damage.

oh yeah, it's like a strict upgrade, thanks! I am trying to keep this slightly budget but I'll switch them when I can, and if you have ideas on yet another aether vortex, please check out the last challenge I made. :)

0
Posted 06 October 2014 at 03:59

actually, purphoros doesn't work, because it can only hit opponents so the nest would stop producing. :)

0
Posted 14 November 2014 at 15:43

Correct but, with you being able to bring a large number of creatures onto the battlefield Purphoros would trigger dealing damage to opponent not creature. It would be more of a backup plan incase combo didn't trigger as fast as expected.

0
Posted 14 November 2014 at 19:48

Also Pit Fight or Prey Upon maybe a nice addition in your sideboard incase going against zoo decks, show and tell or any large creature based deck. Just think before attack step Pit Fight a Emrakul, the Aeons Torn with Hornets Nest then blocking it killing it with a deathtoucher.
