Deck Description

So I feel like I'm on this quest to build the ultimate pirate deck. As you look at this and think " he should be running ______" first take a look at the other decks; there are two other standard pirate builds in my list and _____ is probably in one. This one is straight Izzet. The mainstays here are meant to be Kari Zev & storm fleet sprinter. For card draw you have curious obsession as well as siren's ruse which doubles as protection for your creatures removing them from combat after a block or dodging removal spells. Capt. Storm is there for a bit of ramp. Tempest caller or angrath marauders are there as potential finishers. I'm leaning toward tempest caller because with siren's ruse you can trigger the effect at will of you need it twice.

How to Play

Cast pirates, snarl at your opponent and say "aaarrrrgg" to bring in the mind game- always play with their minds. Get out capt storm to get some treasure built up, play Kari and other one drops to start wide holding your treasure for counterspells to keep threats off. Storm is s good siren's ruse target because his haste ability. Try to get out the stormtamer early and cast the flagship so you have some threats in the air. This is mid game win deck, try to maintain control of the board then cast the tempest caller to tap their defense. You can, if needed cast siren's ruse on that to re-trigger.
