Optimize playing snapcaster mage right before, the thing in the ice transforms that way snapcaster goes back to your hand to help you cast the spells that you discarded. Once chasm skulker hits the field the cantrips will start to pump him up, days undoing will not only refresh your hand and recycle the grave yard it will give skulker plus 7. If you don't like your hand discard with forgotten creation and draw thar many cards pumping chasm skulker even more. Hopefully you should be able to control the board between the flips from thing in the ice and counters. I do realize that baral is not a horror creature but the one less mana is nothing to shake your head at plus free draws with drawing from remand and arcane denial maximizing your hand. You could even vapor snag a snapcaster to recast a spell or thing in the ice to reset the board again.
