A fun idea I had with Legion's Initiaitive. Yes, it's great protection for your creatures, but it's also a great flicker effect...for ALL your creatures. Hmmmm....
For the most part, this plays like a fairly standard Boros build: get creatures out and swarm in for victory. With Champion of the Parish as the centerpiece of a deck with over a third devoted to Humans, and with Boros Charm to deal more damage or protect your team, you can win flat out in the red zone. But that's not really the point. The real key is Legion's Initiative. Get a copy out with some fun enter-the-battlefield creatures, and close out a quick victory. You've got several good options:Court Street Denizen: Nearly every creature here is at least half white. Consider that all creatures that come back from Legion's Initiative are hasty. Trigger Initiative before combat, return all your creatures (starting with Denizen), tap all their defenders and swing in for victory. Ouch!Kessig Malcontents: Again, tons of Humans means tons of damage potential from this guy. Return him LAST after a triggered Initiative for a massive punch to the opponent's face. Best part about him is that he works equally well if you blink just him, so Restoration Angel and Cloudshift work with him quite nicely.Goldnight Commander: Perhaps more of a "win more" option, but if your army is relatively small and can't strike in for quite enough damage after an Initiative team blink, Goldnight Commander should be able to seal the deal. And don't forget the benefits with Champion of the Parish (massive pump), Cathedral Sanctifier (life is always good!), and Zealous Conscripts (steal their biggest defender out from under them). Can't WAIT to try this out. How about you?
