A new take on an old classic....
Eternal Masters has me (and likely many others) dusting off old Shrines and smiling. Remember when legendary wasn't so rare?So here's a new spin on an old idea: a creatureless, enchantment-centric deck. Obviously the real stars are the Shrines themselves, which can win the game on their own: life and drawing and creatures pile up on your side, damage and discard on the opponent's side. Prison and Sphere lock down their creatures, at least long enough for your steady lifegain to take over. Intangible Virtue boosts your own creates from Life's Web. And since most everything is an enchantment, Greater Auramancy protects it all. None of that is particularly new.But there are two important newcomers. First is Starfield of Nyx. Not only does it return any enchantments the opponent picks apart directly to the battlefield, but it also turns all those costly enchantments into creatures! With a few beefy enchantments already in play, just resolving Starfield can lead to an immediate and surprising victory. But the all-star addition is Celestial Dawn. It allows you to avoid a too-crazy mana base by turning all your lands into white-mana producing Plains. So how does that help with mana fixing so you can reliably play Shrines regardless of color? Because you can turn white mana into any other color! Spiffy. The sideboard is full of creature wipers, additional protection and pillow forts, and Open the Vaults to quickly recover vs decks that can wipe out lots of your enchantments.Thoughts?

I personally love this way of playing, ive been working on an enchant deck that includes the bestow creatures. It creates an interesting synergy. Basically you're taking enchantments, turning them into creatures and then enchanting them with creatures (its all backwards LOL). Using starfield and Opalescence with cryptolith rite you can dig through and use just about anything you want. Still working on it but loving the versatility. I have personally gone with a more direct/in your face route and gone with pump enchantments like glorious anthem and collective blessing. With blessing and starfield or opalescence all of a sudden you have a 9/9 that gives all your others +3/+3. Kind of fun to watch your opponents cringe when that one shows up LOLIm on my second swing with magic and i had quit about the time kamigawa came out so i was unaware of the shrines. Unfortunately ive gone through and spent waaaaayy to much money already to make the one im working on possible, oh well lolI will say though i do definitely appreciate the mirror gallery and shrine combo. Things could get pretty nasty like that. Looks like it'd be fun to play
