There's no cards here. Maybe it's a budget deck?
The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
My friend plays yu gi oh but wants to start magic since that's what we mainly play. He's wondering what type of deck to play. I told him to experiment and see what he likes but he wants a starting idea. I can't think of anything but maybe y'all can help. His description of what he likes in yu gi oh is and I quote "Gadgets are my main deck and the run like summon green search to get red summon red search to get yellow and they can run to being able to summon two to three monsters in one turn". Sound like anything magic like he may like?

Well, the gadget's are a cycle of three - Red, green, yellow - that when summoned, bring the next one in the cycle to your hand. Further, they interact with a second archetype - "Ancient Gear" - so that the Ancient's get certain effects depending on which of the Gadgets you tributed to it.As for finding something at all similar in Magic... I dunno.

Machines, heck yeah! I mostly run spellcasters and fairies. As for magic, what format? I'll ask some friends if they have any ideas.
Yeah I kinda got the concept but when he asked if that was in magic I was like uh.....ha so any help would be great
How about an elemental deck(vexing devil, cobblebrute, hellspark elemental)? red, haste (hammer of purphoros), first-strike(ligthning talons, firshrieker) and lots of mana ramp? (rite of flame, desperate ritual, seething song)or a green mana ramp elf deck? or perhaps a dragon er a demon deck? those are also quick, fun to play with, my first were a demon deck i built from random demons and a horde of shadowborn apostles.
I was thinking of a U/W or U/W/x flicker deck.
A what? Dude, serriously, some of us don't understand all these fancy ways of naming things..
I kinda thought it was straight forward. For those who are new, U (blue), B (black), W (white), G (green), R (red), x (any additional desired color).
Sorry, i was just a bit slow, but yeah, blue is a quite complex color, in my opinion atleast.
Ya Turboto I was thinking something like you. Just fast and fun to play without any deep strategies. And KJSJ3 ya a flicker could be interesting. A friend has a U/W flicker so ill let him play that and see if he likes it. Thanks
If you have the funds/resources, melira pod is fun to play. If his machine deck runs with any similarity to mine(or fairy/gravekeepers), some sort of dredge/graveyard recurrence might be up his alley.
Ya I have the resources to make one so ill look into it. And ok I'll mention that too. Thanks man like I said I'm not fluent in yu gi oh so trying to guess his magic style for him is difficult
I just recently picked yugioh back up(casual play with friends). It might be a good idea to download a rom and have him put a few decks on there. Test them out and base your opinion on how they run.
check out my decks i have some good ideas he may like but as for mech type deck in magic try elves they allow some search like the gadgets do that would be modern as for standard i would try blue black white blue mostly for scry which allows u to see whts next black for like life loss to the opponent such as extort which allows u to gain life while ur opponent loses life and the white for life gain and protection and damage prevention thts my opinion anyway
Hm I've played against his gadget deck we should make one that the entire deck is one really big combo which is I may have some input on that
good luck to y'all
^FAIRY POWER!! LOL.
Maybe a voltron deck would be good for your friend buff creatures with enchantments and swing
