Deck Description

Usually will win with one big swing between the 3rd and 5th turn. Many people see this as a hit or miss win trick, but if you know when to keep or mulligan you will always be able to swing for 18-22 damage on the 4th turn. Make sure you always can drop a BoP or NH on your first turn with another Land, BoP or NH in your hand. By turn 3-4 you can have 4-6 mana to spend on the Rafiq of the Many or Finest Hour that you will have drawn, or previously had in your hand from the start to ultimately swing with a turn 2 or 3 unblockable creature for a fatal blow. Between turn 1-4 you will have done some chip damage from the unblockable creatures, or gained life from Rhox War Monk; I have gained 20+ life on turn 5 with Rhox War Monk many times. Negate is able to deal with any bombs that will be thrown at you, while PtE will remove creatures that are an issue. Ponder is card advantage with the ability to set up the right draw for the early win if needed.

** Before you claim the deck needs mana help play test it, you have 12 cards that will give you a forest for a first turn BoP or NH and one of those alone fixes all mana issues you could have.

Deck discussion for Phantom Bant

I like this. Baneslayer Angel would be a monster added to this deck.

BA is a good card but she would slow this deck down. She would be perfect in a control bant deck

I don't see it slowing the deck down much with four BoPs and NHs, but you know your own deck better than I do, lol.

you have a point, i should say shes just not needed for the win and she may get blocked.

Sure, that is definitely a valid point. Personally I've always liked the thought of little threats more than one big beatstick, I guess I just love to see her hit the field, lol.

Very nice, your bant deck is much better than mine! But here's my problem: so many people run volcanic fallout in their sideboard that they can sweep all the weenie mana sources and unblockables by turn 3. I'm sure that's why negate is in there (for other reasons as well I'm sure), but it can still be tough to get around.

I think thats what was meant about Negate being able to stop "Bombs" that would be thrown. All in all Prolly the best Bant I've seen. Keep it up yo

Yeah sweeps are the only issue this deck faces... Negate is a life saver and so is safe passage from M10... If you are going against a tough burner always remember mark of asylum from conflux to protect all of your creatures from non combat damage for two mana!!!
