I just love Jace, the Mind Sculptor! This an Esper "W/U/B" themed deck that uses hand manipulation and board control to stabilize time to crack Jace 2.0 FTW! Strip your opponent with Duress, Inquisition, or Tidehollow Sculler while using Oblivion Ring to catch the rest of the board. Allowing creatures to drop is perfectly fine because you have 6 board sweeps to annihilate the board position; so after the sweep they will struggle to play any more creatures while you keep their hand thin, and use Jace 2.0 to make sure their draw will be unusable. The sideboard is filled with Infest to keep Aggro builds crying while you save CtM and DoJ for the game turning moment. Pithing needle is obvious, and Soul Manipulation gives you a creature counter and a return on Tidehollow Scullor if your opponent offed him. Necromancer's Covenant is absolutely ridiculous against any Aggro build after you sweep, and it just so happens that our BFF Tidehollow is a Zombie also! Identity Crisis is simply used to thwart a thick hand against another control deck... I will be playing this build at the Midwest Master Series this Summer at the Ohio and Pittsburgh event. The side board will most likely change for the event to deal with Jund. Jund is completely nerfed by Gravitational Shift! HAHA!

Thanks for posting this. I might sleeve it up and try it out. The only thing that surprises me is the sheer amount of three-ofs...
Welcome! I played it tonight with my friends and it's really good at locking down people....
You will not be disappointed when you play test this deck Sailent. Just remember you saw it here first.
I like it; it looks well balanced; only concern I'd have is u don't really have any other ways to win than Jace; not to mention Jace is quite vulnerable to burn; elementals with haste; creatures in general; cards like pithing needle etc etc etc etc
I play in a meta where there are 1-2 RDW players that float around to events. RDW is a pretty big threat to this deck and if I was playing in a meta where I had to deal with RDW I would add 4x Rest of the Weary in my SB. RotW completely puts you out of burn range and they dont have enough spells to finish you off. You learn when to play Jace against RDW. If you can get him to 7+ you will be fine.
* rest for the weary RftW
