Not sure at all, the mana base is really what I'm working on right now...i'll probably play it several times to feel it out and then make adjustments. Great observation though and thanks for the comment. If you're just getting into EDH then you should read Dear Azami on starcitygames.com. It's a neat little column about EDH deck building. Cheers!
I have been stewing over this for a couple of days and i've decided that i like the way it's shapped up. The only cards here that i'm not super fond of are Argentum and Sundering Titan...i'm not sure what to replace them with though...Have any more swords laying around? =D
Yea, I like it a lot better now actually.
I like how it looks man! The Chargers are a good idea!
Also added the Moltensteel's in because of your point on the other thread...if i need to i can just burn some life to buff him up...
You're spot on man. My original thought was with the rings i could grab a Crucible of Fire, but i think taking them out is a much better idea. The way i have built it now i should actually have enough control to survive on the table until i can wipe it.
Thrummingstone reads: "Whenever you PLAY or spell, you may reveal the top four cards of your library. You may PLAY any revealed cards with the same name as the spell without paying their mana costs. Put the rest on the bottom of your library." So what that means to me is this: Play Rat -> Reavel: Rat (1), Mana, Mana, Rat (2) Play Rat (1) -> Reavel: Mana, Mana, Mana, Thrummingstone Play Rat (2) -> Reavel: Rat (3) , Rat (4), Rat (5), Mana Play Rat (3) -> Reavel: Rat (6), Mana, Mana, Dark Ritual Play Rat (4) -> Reavel: Mana, Mana, Mana, Mana Play Rat (5) -> Reveal Mana, Dark Ritual, Mana, Thrummingstone Play Rat (6) -> etc, etc, etc, etc The way I had originally thought this worked was that I had to hard cast a spell out of my hand to ripple off of it...and i really don't think thats correct at all.
Null Profusion would work very very well, yes. However, since we were fooling around with this i decided to reread thrummingstone...and if i read it right then i should be able to put my entire rat army out into play (or close to it) by hardcasting 1 of them with a stone in play. Reread it and see if you come to the same conclusion.
Yea, I understand what you mean about Volt Charge, i wasn't even thinking about it. My problem with Kilnmouth is that you have to reveal a dragon card from your hand to get his bonus, and if the dragon card is in your hand you can't storm him in (i would almost mully any opening hand that had a dragon in it if the combo is your main goal). I answered your question about Hunted on my thread... It seems like in your version you might actually be able to hard cast a dragon once in awhile because of the Ruby's. I think that may be the biggest difference. In mine I'd never want to.
- 4 Kilnmouth (even though he is 1 of my favs) + 4 Bogardan Hellkite or Hunted Dragon
My main thing with the Dragon Fodders and Raging Goblins was really just to chump block until i could combo, but i think Helix and Bolt are a good idea. Thanks for the nama of Clifftop, I new there was one I just couldn't remember the name of it or find it. How does it look to you now? I added a Worldgorger just because there is a small chance that I could put enough mana in my pool and to play the Gorger and the Apocalypse in the same turn...which is the old combo...
The only thing i see at all thats missing is a draw engine of some kind...thats the problem eric always runs into is just simply running out of cards to play...Mind's Eye, Greater Good, etc...
Can't have Progenitus in the deck cheater face!
