Mill your opponent before he kills you.
Mill your opponent with every mill card you draw. Don't fear the self mill of Mesmeric Orb, self-milling is hermless until your libray hascards; also it will just fuel Manic Scribe's delirium. As soon as your opponent searches his or her library (e.g. fetchlands, Ghost Quarters, etc.) play for free all the copies of Archive Trap you have in hand and mill thirteen cards each.Side in Leyline of the Void in case you face an Emrakul deck. You can replace LotV with Nihil Spellbomb as well.source: http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=12321&d=271066&f=MO

I notice you go creatureless, is it on purpose? Otherwise Hedron Crab is something you shouldn't miss, can mill 6 in T2 with one mana still open, leaves body on the field and will keep milling if opponent won't deal with it..Also Mesmeric orb is a beast especially against aggro decks.

Yes, it's creatureless on purpose just for one reason: there are no creatures that mill. Hedron crab can mill 6 in t2 but only if you draw it first hand. How useful is it if it comes later?
from my experience it still mills 3/6 any turn you draw it and leaves a blocker if you need it. But not trying to persuade u to use it, it was just a suggestion. .
Have you tried the deck? It seems that you don't have alot of defence against aggro. Looks like a fun deck, though.
Against aggro it has 5 cards: 3x Crypt Incursion and 2x Damantion. If with "aggro" you are thinking of the red aggro just think that that is a tier 1 deck, so there is simply no comparison with mill.
Damnation+incursion should be enough against creature heavy decks. I've seen mill decks doing well with T1 decks but you are right that red burn is almost worst matchup.
How much would the deck cost without the expensive lands? Seems like a fun deck but I haven't got the money :P
It's almost impossible to have a competitive modern deck without expensive lands. You just can't afford to ever put yourself behind a turn (have a land enter tapped) in modern. If you want to get into modern without spending a lot build a burn deck or green devotion has been doing well on a semi budget.
You can remove the fetchlands since they don't have a use in speeding your deck but just to take the colored mana you need. You can replace them with basic lands + Drowned Catacomb.
http://www.mtgvault.com/maniacalmaniac/decks/mlgnnt-mllng/This my modern mill deck. It has been performing very very well the last 3 weeks at modern events. Placing 2nd 3rd 2nd. Usually out of 12-20 or so players in a very competitive meta. Yes! Hedron Crab and Mesmeric Orb are very very good cards for consideration, they're better choices then Sculpt or Scour IMO, since the potential cards milled compared to mana invested far exceeds anything else other then Archive Trap. I splash white for Path and a lot of great S/B options as well as the 4 additional fetch lands to trigger the crabs twice. Path and Ghost Quarter trigger the Archive Trap if opp isn't already fetching which most modern decks do. Game 2 players don't want to search making Path the greatest removal ever printed and basically allowing me to run 3 Strip Mines in modern.
