Deck Description

The goal of this deck is to put together a competitive and inexpensive($$$, not casting cost) zombie deck that is easy enough for new players to learn. I'm hoping it evens out in terms of how well it plays with the battle decks made by Cardkingdom. I want it to function well, while at the same time remaining an inexpensive buy and not so good that it always wins against those decks.

How to Play

The goal of this deck is to overwhelm the opponent with zombies that keep coming back and hit a bit hard. Plenty of cards allow for sacrificing one's own creatures to cast various spells while other cards return or use creature cards in the graveyard. The Zombie brute should ideally enter the battlefield from the grave and there are a few cards in the deck to make sure he gets there. Compelling deterrence can save the brute and conveniently put him back in the grave for an easy return to the battlefield if he is about to get owned.

Deck discussion for Zombies for cheap

This looks like a very fun zombie deck. I do have to point out something. You can't actually cast Zombie Brute from the graveyard. Victimize lets you put it into play, but that isn't really casting it. I don't see any other way of getting Zombie Brute out from free graveyard other than victimize, so I feel like running more than 2 would be good.

Other than that this deck looks fun and easy for beginners to understand and use. Very well done.

Also, extra points for using Shephard of Rot. One of my favorite cards.

Good call on double checking the Brute. The exact wording as I have found it for the Amplify mechanic says "As this creature enters the battlefield..." rather than "When you cast {creature name}..." which would imply entrance from anywhere: graveyard, hand (via casting or another spell's ability), etc.

I've added two more Victimize for the Brute. I've got plenty of board control so I lowered the number of Bone Splinters and Compelling Deterrence down to three each.

Thanks very much for your thoughts.
