switch out mutagenic growths for virulent swipe, +2+0 and death touch with a free rebound. Also distortion strike. +1+0 and unblockable. also i'd go up to 3x crusaders. 2/2 infect first strike? pretty heinous by itself. the protection is just a bonus. Necropede is probably my favorite card from beseiged. he's a must for infect. talk about a two for one. i'd drop the rats and the specters, mutagenic and go 3x go for the throats and 2x doomblades.
