It works OK, how well it does is VERY dependent on what you're facing. Against aggro it's generally not too bad since there is so much removal. It struggles against control and obviously suffers badly if you're not drawing the removal you need or are mana screwed in some way. Having Assemble the Legion actually hit the board is, in many cases, good game as things get silly very fast. Very few decks MB enchantment hate which this deck capitalizes on. I tweaked the mainboard somewhat so that the removal is a little more consistent and added a 4th Lingering Souls. Thanks for commenting!

Hey, thanks :). I've been trying to figure out how to put this together since Gatecrash and I think this is a pretty solid list. It probably wont win any tournaments but it'll be fun as hell to play. I'm going to take it to an FNM this week (hopefully), we'll see how it does.
I'd love some comments and/or suggestions, there's a modern tourney coming up that I would love to take this to if at all possible. Thanks!
Arbor Elf, Scorned Villager for ramp. Ranger's Path and (maybe) Farseek for acceleration. Borderland Ranger might help too.
I'd say it's definitely better. Glad I could help. I might still suggest a different 1-drop other than Stromkirk Noble since unless you face a lot of Human decks he's not that useful without a way to make him constantly connect with the enemy player. There are a few good red 1-drops to pick from, Reckless Waif is one. Others are Stonewright, Bellows Lizard, Forge Devil, Goblin Arsonist, Slumbering Dragon, Somberwald Vigilante, and Vexing Devil. I would strongly suggest Vexing Devil if you dont mind paying $6-7 each. After that I would say Reckless Waif, Somberwald Vigilante, then Goblin Arsonist. The others arent really worth considering here IMO.
I like it, I would not want to play against it at all. Only thing I can think of right now is maybe 2-3 Jace's Phantasm for when you're milling your opponent. A 1/1 flier for U that gets +4/+4 if an opponent has 10+ cards in their graveyard seems like a bargain for a deck like this. Not sure Primal Surge is helping here, not sure it's hurting either though. If you have a 2nd Tamiyo you might consider adding that instead. Maybe Dissipate instead of Syncopate or in the SB.
Looks better to me. You might want to run some burn (Searing Spear, Geistflame, etc) so that you can set up Rakdos's ability in the event you cant push damage through with a creature. Mizzium Mortars would work too. Maybe (stress maybe) SB Dreadbore for the burn, maybe 2 Increasing Vengeance instead of 4. Not sold on taking out Dreadbore, just a thought. Also, Chandra, the Firebrand might be a good fit here. Can ping creatures/players, copy spells, and her ultimate is really nasty if it goes off. I'd replace Dual Casting for her as her -2 is basically a reusable Dual Casting. (She's cheap $$ wise too, mid price is $4 on TCG).
FYI, Rakdos Lord of Riots wont make Akroma's memorial come out any faster. His ability only works on creatures. Otherwise looks fun, Fervor rather than the Ring of Valkas might be something worth looking at. Reckless Waif instead of Stromkirk Noble. You have a big gap at 3 mana, Kruin Outlaw might be good here.
Possibly -2 Rakdos Cackler and +2 Strangleroot Geist. GG might be kinda hard for you to hit though. If you can swing adding a couple Overgrown Tomb (RtR shockland) that would help your mana base. The shocklands have dropped pretty significantly in price lately. If you do that, then add 2 Blood Crypt as well. I hate having to use the shocklands but just the tap lands with the manabase you have may result in some tempo issues. Consider Desecration Demon. Overall looks fun, though you may have some issues with U/W aggro since those run Geist of St. Traft and some other fliers (look at my U/W aggro for reference). I can see this doing well against a lot of the common archetypes though.
Somberwald Sage? I know it doesn't work with your elves-as-mana theme but it enables the following: Turn 1: Forest, Arbor Elf Turn 2: Land, Somberwald Sage by tapping Arbor Elf Turn 3: Land (Preferably a Mountain), Balefire Dragon
I have a deck very similar to this, havent put it up yet. Based on the way mine has been running I do have some suggestions. 1) You have some good Green cards in here, especially the rancor. However your most important cards are White and you only have 11 Plains. This kind of deck doesnt need a lot of land but you might see too many forests when you're trying to drop a Precinct Captain or Silverblade Paladin. I'd suggest dropping the number of Forests or replacing a few of them with Sunpetal Grove. Those are still pretty cheap so you could get 4 without too much fuss. 2) Ethereal Armor is OK, but there are probably more effective cards to run. I would replace them with 4 Selesnya Charms. There's a fun combo with that card and Rancor and it is useful in almost every scenario you can think of. 3) I would not take the suggestion of Intangible Virtue, you simply don't have enough token generators and this isnt a token deck. However, if you're looking to boost your creatures with an enchantment, 3 come to mind: Collective Blessing (expensive, mana-wise), Cathar's Crusade (crazy card, also expensive mana-wise), and Builders Blessing (useless for offence but keeps all these low toughness cards from dying to removal so easily). 4) You might want to consider reducing the number of 1-drops you have. While having a Champion or an Avacyn's Pilgrim on turn 1 is awesome, drawing one on turn 4 or 5 is not so fun. This deck has to win quickly so having a 4-drop to top out on (or even a 5-drop) is good. The best would be Sublime Archangel but those are ridiculously expensive right now. A reasonable replacement is Angel of Jubilation. Sigarda, Host of Herons is a very strong 5 drop flyer and this deck needs at least a couple ways to stop fliers. 5) Last, consider at least sideboarding something to help with big or especially troublesome creatures. Wolfir Silverheart is great with Silverblade Paladin. If you want to keep it to Humans, a really silly thing to combo with Silverblade Paladin is Nightshade Peddler. I hope some of this helps!
Also, Increasing Devotion and Gather the Townsfolk
Intangible Virtue. If you're going to run a lot of instants/sorceries you might as well run Talrand himself. Great token generator.
Looks like it could do some damage. However, your mana base is not good. 18 lands and 4 cathedrals means that you'll be getting 1 or 2 plains and a Cathedral in your opening hand. The Cathedral is a dead drop that does nothing the turn you play it, which can really screw up your tempo for a fast deck like this. 20 plains and 2 cathedrals might be better. You may also want to consider Angelic Benediction, an enchantment that gives you the exalted buff and lets you tap down a defender. You may also want to consider some sort of removal (not that white has a ton of options). O-Ring, for example.
You could try Cathar's Crusade for an enchantment-type buff. Gives each of your creatures a +1/+1 counter whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control. Little expensive mana-wise for a Human weenie deck though. Angel of Jubilation is basically an Honor of the Pure on a stick.
Thragtusk is a great card, but if you're looking for a green beater to add to your deck, I would prefer Wolfir Silverheart. Soulbond it with a Silverblade Paladin and go nuts.
No suggestions, really. I would love to own and run this deck, it looks like a blast to play and a real bi**h to face.
You might want to splash green for Gavony Township and Avacyn's Pilgrim. Mikaeus the Lunarch is a great pump for all your little humans. Take out the Cathedral of Wars, they are tempo killers and not much use since your deck isn't exalted focused. Lastly, your curve is a little meh for a human weenie deck. 4 less at 3 mana and 4 more at 1 mana might help. You might consider Doomed Traveller for that snlot, unless you splash green. Then I would suggest Avacyn's pilgirm. Take a look at my G/W humans for reference. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=400712
Champion of the Parish, Elite Inquisitor, Oblivion Ring for the Sideboard, Mikaeus the Lunarch, maybe.
Sorry, I didnt indicate I was suggesting Rancor and Fling as sideboard cards. Take a look at my decks if you have a chance, I'm always looking for suggestions on all three. Thanks :)
