Add some stuff in the sideboard to prepare for game 2, because if they can get a Hurkyl's Recall on you, you are probably going to lose.

Perhaps bring out Legion Loyalist and bring in some Vexing Devils and/or 1 drop 2/1s like Tatttermunge or Firedrinker Satyr. If its in your price range, some Tarmogoyfs would be great.

Remove all the basic lands, in a penta deck you should stick to duals for more consistent manabase. Cavern of Souls is a nice choice for this deck, although I would bring them down to 3, as you really only need 1 per game. If your win-con is saccing Zuberas, find a more efficient spell like Viscera Seer to destroy them.

Yes. Rest is much better, although you may want to sideboard Immortality to cope with mill.

Try to find a more efficient lifegain than Angel's mercy. It has way too high CMC.

Just a tip: don't make unfinished decks public.

I would recommend sideboarding Witchbane. It's very situational. Also how about artful dodge? Makes your creature unblockable and has flashback. I also recommend adding some Shocklands and gates.

Several issues.

First: I would decrease your lands by maybe 5. 100 lands for a 250 deck is a but much.

Second: Bring in some black cards. The chance of drawing BoW in a game is extremely low, so you need to add some tutors to increase that chance. Battle of wits isn't very effective without these tutors.

Third: Cards like Tome Scour aren't very good unless you are milling. Since the win condition here isn't mill, I recommend taking these out to make room for the tutors.

Fourth: Your focus shouldn't be on dealing damage. Your creatures should be focused on defending, not going on the offensive.

Overall, you're on the right track. This deck has some definite potential.

I know this isn't blue, but Asceticism? I don't know if there is a blue equivalent.

Thanks. I wasn't sure what else to use besides Diabolic Tutor considering many less expensive cards are banned. Any ideas for sideboard?

Try adding some draw cards (baubles?) to cycle to your Spawnsire

I'm confused... is this even a deck? If your deck isn't finished, make the visibility private.
