I like the idea, but if you were to play the Abyssal Persecutor and couldn't beat them down with it and then draw a Hellcarver to sacrifice him with, wouldn't you hit a metaphorical brick wall?

It's a solid start, but I'd say run 4 doom blades instead of having any grasps of darkness. And if you want to run R/B you could always throw in a one red mana creature and some tainted strikes. I've been torn apart by tainted strike, vampire's bite combos on a Spikeshot Elder before.
P.S. Very nice, getting hold of 3 Skithiryx. I had 2 but traded one on since I rarely needed him for infect.
My personal thoughts on your deck bloodhowl are that you need to play more pumps. Since an Infect deck aims to win by the fifth turn, enchantments aren't ideal. They're more intended for a long run game. Also, Garruk may work better than Liliana if you don't mind dropping Liliana's search ability from the deck. If you can get a third Putrefax, definitely run it. I run 3 in my B/G Infect and it's hilarious when in 2HG it drags out long enough to play two at once. Birds of Paradise are a great choice, but I would drop the Tangle Angler and Blight Mamba. Same for the Necrotic Oozes. The oozes can only copy the activated abilities so they're pretty situational. Sideboard them though if you are very fond of them. I don't really know about the Whispersilk Cloaks or the Infiltration Lenses, I'd actually say play the Livewire Lashes if you can get them, since when you pump a creature equipped with Livewire Lash that has the infect mechanic (or has been Tainted Striked for infect) it deals a direct 2 poison counters to your opponent. Hope that was of some help. Of course, those are my opinions and therefore completely subjective so I can't say I am right nor wrong.
