Deck built around cards with the word "Familiar" in them. Since the best ones were white and blue, that is where I went with it. And since most Familiars are birds...yep, Bird Tribal. Done to death..but then again..that is where "Familiars" sent me. Ended up being able to put 15 "Familiar" cards in the deck. They are mainly used for mana reduction and speed. Deck is Budget. So, there is that. And the deck is aiming more at speed/overrunning then it is Control.
Use your Familiars to help you overrun your opponent with Birds. Birds having flying, is very important. Opponent better bring hate against Flying Decks. Main idea is to use: Stormscape Familiar and/or Sunscape Familiar early game (Turn 2 or Turn 3) to reduce the cost of almost every card in your deck (all but 4 Artifacts). Now that all of your cards are cheaper to cast and you will be playing cards very quickly, it is very important to keep cards in your hands. No use in topdecking, right? That is where Reparations, Raven Familiar, and Reviving Vapors comes into importance. They will always supply you with the key cards you need to be able to keep pressure on your opponent. Judge's Familiar and Keeper of the Nine Gales will provide small control against your opponent. Nothing too solid, but enough to disrupt your opponent...giving you the chance to pump out Birds. Ornitharch and Battle Screech provides the Bird tokens while Aven Brigadier provides +1/+1 to all of your Birds. Keeper of the Nine Gales/Battle Screech combo very well.As does the Ornitharch if the opponent doesn't pay the Tribute. The Azorius Keyrune is a mana producer as well as a card that can become a Bird. Useful with Battle Screech/Nine Gales/Aven Brigadier.

Another example might be.Turn 1. Play Island. Play Judge's Familiar.Turn 2. Play Plains. Play Stormscape Familiar.Turn 3. Play Island. Play Keeper of the Nine Gales.Turn 4. Play Plains. Play Battle Screech. At this point, I have 2 options. I can tap Nine Gales and the two bird tokens from Battle Screech to bounce one of my opponent's permanents. OR. I can tap the Judge's Familiar and the 2 bird tokens from Battle Screech and flashback Battle Screech for 2 more 1/1 bird flyers. Again, it comes down to which way I want to take it...more control or more tokens. Notes: I don't think I need two different cards that pump up my creatures (Aven Brigadier AND Kangee).Kangee rocks IF i have both mana reducing Familiars out AND I am going for the token win. Bot If i am going control over trying to win with tokens...then maybe both Aven and Kangee isn't needed.

IF going with the Aven/token method...The above combo would be to tap the 2 bird tokens/Judge Familiar to flashback Battle Screech. Then Turn 5 play Aven. I would have 7 birds that would be pumped up to power of 2. 14 potential damage.
Out of all the cards left in Sideboard...Raven's Familiar looks the most promising. You get to look at the top 3 cards and keep 1 of them. Of course, you wouldn't pay the echo cost, unless it was late game. Not sure where I can fit her in, just yet. I do know Sunscape Familiar will make Raven's Familiar cost 1 less mana, though.
Ended up trying to do both small control and overrunning opponent. May not work, as is. Iffy about running both Familiars that reduce mana cost: specifically the Sunscape Familiar. Not sure if it is needed considering I have more cards that are white AND Stormscape Familiar already reduces cost of white spells by 1 colorless. Tell me what you guys think! Look at the number of postings I have.I am a nice guy, comment on my stuff and I will comment on your stuff. And don't be placating. If you hate the deck, tell me. That is what i need. Good advice.
Well ... you certainly have a lot of familiars. After familiarizing myself with your deck, I realized the concept was familiar to me. I hope I've said familiar enough here, because you are like famili (ar, that pun's bad) to me.;)
