Mirror Entity challenge. What a neat card, it changes stuff into other creatures. Goblins into Elves. Dragons into Humans. Weird, right? Here is my stab at making a deck using Entity. Tell me what you think.
I pump up my creatures using Sinew Sliver and Wizened Cenn. Then I play Mirror Entity, further pumping up my creatures as well as making them Slivers and Kithkins. 1st turn. Free Memnite and Ornithopter. 2nd turn. Sinew Sliver or Wizened Cenn3rd turn. Mirror Entity. 4th turn. Pump up Mirror Entity 4 times. Now you have a 6/6 memnite, 6/6 Ornithopter, 6/6 Sinew Sliver, and 5/5 Wizened Cenn.If that fails...check these combos out for size. You know some of them are very tasty and worth liking this deck.First, check out Shields of Velis Vel. For 1 mana it makes all your creatures have all creature types and gives them +0/+1. You have 2 options. Play it on yourself (Mirror Entity is used the same way, here) and play 1) Peer Pressure or 2) Whelming Wave. The 2nd option is play it on your opponent.Shields of Velis Vel/Peer Pressure. Say you are playing a Dragon deck. You play Velis Vel on you creatures, they become dragons too, and now you get control of all your opponent's dragons (that is if you have more creatures than them). Shields of Velis Vel/Whelming Wave. Same Concept. Play Velis vel on your creatures, and then play Whelming Wave. Since your creatures are now considered Krakens/Serpents/etc, they do not get bounced, but all of your opponents creatures do get bounced.Mirror Entity can also be used with Peer Pressure/Whelming Wave. If you play Shields of Velis Vel on your opponent...it will give all of your opponent's creatures all creature types. What to do with that? Here comes Tivadar's Crusade. It destroys all Goblins. Guess what Shields of Velis Vel does again, that's right, it turns creatures into all creature types. So, for 4 mana, you have a one sided Wrath of God. Neat, right? Impulse is there to find any key card i need...be it Mirror Entity, Shields of Velis Vel, or a land. The Signet, of course, is being used to secure my mana base. Chain of Vapor is interesting...i can use it on my opponent or myself. If I am about to nuke all Goblins...and my Mirror Entity counts as a Goblin...i can bounce him to my hand. Plus, i am then given the choice to nuke a land (in a rare emergency) and still return one of my opponent's non land permanents to his hand.

Thank you.
+1 like from me!
Thank you too.
now i need to finish my one
Slacker!!!!
hmm... well I suppose I best start
Haha you just called out.
My mana curve looks like I am giving you the finger, nice!
haha that symmetry
Lol I believe you did that on purpose.
I wish I did!!!
you should sideboard coat of arms. :) that would be pretty good in here I think. :)
Very interesting card, in this deck. Very neat in deed. 3rd turn. Mirror Entity4th turn. Peer Pressure stealing my opponent's creatures.5th turn. Coat of Arms. Fun
Not sure what to take out though. And technically...if i have Mirror Entity out on 5th turn...instead of just paying 5 mana for Coat of Arms...i could just pay 5 mana to give all of my creatures 5/5. But it is a very good suggestion. What would i take out?
But...5th turn Coat of Arms...and 6th turn Mirror of Entity would be brutal!! It would be like this. 1st turn: Memnite2nd turn. Ornithopter3rd turn. Mirror Entity.4th turn. Wizened Cenn and Sinew Sliver5th turn. Coat of Arms.6th turn. Pay 6 mana for Mirror Entity.Now...what the hell would i have? All of them would be slivers...so that is +1/+1. All of them would be kithkin, so that is another +1/+1. Plus I would have 4 creatures...so coat of arms would give all of them +4/+4. Finally...Mirror Entity would give them all 6/6. So, Memnite would be a 13/13.Ornithopter would be 12/14Mirror Entity would be 13/13Wizened Cenn would be a 13/13Sinew Sliver would be 13/13.
Taking out the Coat of Arms in that example would give.1st turn. Memnite2nd turn. Ornithopter3rd turn. Mirror Entity4th turn. Wizened Cenn and Sinew Sliver5th turn. Mirror Entity for 5 mana.Memnite would be 8/8Ornithopter would be a 7/9Mirror Entity would be a 8/8Wizened Cenn and Sinew Sliver would each be 8/8 each.Technically I could win without the Coat of Arms.Regardless, mana is going to be a bitch with this. Wizened Cenn is double white mana. Tivadar's Crusade is double white. And Whelming Wave is double blue mana.
Sadly, coat of arms only gives 1 bonus per creature, not per creature type. That would be super overpowered, and extremely fun. :)and I am not sure about Tivadar's crusade. You caren't changing your opponent's creatures type so really it seems like more of a hindrance to you than a help. am I missing something?
Shields of Velis Vel changes my opponent's creature types. I cast Velis Vel on their opponents and they become Goblins. I then play Crusade to nuke them. Are you sure about Coat of Arms? It says...if you have 2 goblins then they both get +2/+2. The example above...Mirror Entity turns them all to Goblins...In the above example I have Memnite ,Ornithopter, Sinew Sliver, Wizened Cinn, and Mirror Entity in play. That is 5 ceatures. I then play 1 mana to Mirror Entity to give all of the creatures +1/+1, right? And they gain all creature types. So...they are goblins. Coat of arms says, since they share a creature type, that they all get +5/+5.I could be wrong though.
Also...I could use Mirror Entity on my opponent, right? I pay 1 mana, and pump all of my opponent's creatures +1/+1 and they become Goblins. I then play Tivadar's Crusade...killing all Goblins. I might be mistaken with that, though.
the example says if you have 2 goblin warriors and a goblin shaman out, they all get +2/+2. each creature gets +1/+1 for each creature that shares at least 1 creature type with it.no, you cant use mirror entity on your opponent. it only changes your creatures. now if you haad something to make you creatures indestructible, then it would do fairly well. knight exemplar perhaps? or something like it?
So..confused...please help...if I had 5 creatures out...what would they each get? +4/+4? And damn, just noticed the "you" in Mirror Entity. But Shields of Velis Vel...would that work on my opponents? Could I use Velis Vel on their creatures followed up with a Tivadar's Crusade? Or a Whelming Wave?
Yes, that would work. But crusade will still kill your creatures. And yes, they would all get +4/+4.
Should i sack one of the sorcery spells? Or maybe the double colored Wizened Cenn for a search engine card, like something with transmute to find my Mirror Entity or Shields of Velis Vel? Or does my deck need more creatures to help ensure I get to use Peer Pressure?Definitely wanting more advice on this one.
Well, I can't give you much right now, but after I get off work I can help you out. :)
