People are probably tired of hearing it. I am getting, first time in over a year, cash to spend on Magic Cards. 100 dollars to be exact.I love you guys so thought I would come beg for your direction. I have one list of cards already for consideration. Please go check it out, here is the link and name of the deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/list-of-stamples-you-decide/101 pretty cards for 100 bucks. Artifacts, Mono Green, Mono Red, Mono Black, Mono Blue, Mono White, Multicolor, Lands++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Very solid cards, for the most part, all of them. And most of them could fit in almost any deck of the same colors they represent. Would be lovely to put them in a notebook with sleeves. A montage of what rocks about Magic. It is a lot of really good cards that could be used for casual games. Lots of cards to start decks around. A lot of cards to look at. However, I stopped playing Magic a long time ago and last year got back into it. There has been a few cards I have discovered, since playing Magic again (or cards I always wanted but never had before I quit Magic many years ago) that I absolutely love. This list above is just that. I absolutely fucking love all of those cards. For me, the above cards are just powerhouses and represent how important some cards can really be. I find old cards or new cards are released that make me say this when I see them, "Wow! That, that card there and cards like them is why I can't ever stop playing Magic again." While this list may not be 101 solid foundation cards, and may not be as pretty to show off in a notebook, and a lot less cards...it is a list of cards that really tickle my fancy and makes me love Magic. Each one of them can change the game, win you the game, give you advantage, force removal, etc. Just pretty cards.
***NOTE***These cards are some of my favorite cards (that I do not own and within my price range to acquire). They make me smile looking at them. I have enjoyed them since beginning Mtgvault. Thanks for enjoying this site and these cards with me. I want to explain why I love these cards and how I think, by realizing how strong they are, they have made me a better Magic Player. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++1) Isochron ScepterWhat it has taught me: To understand rules and fine printWhy I covet it: Imprints for so much funI have 1 copy. I want playset. First copy was in the very last booster pack I bought before quitting Magic. Guy headed to a Tourney took one look at the card and said, "You don't know what you have there, do you?" 10 years later, getting back into Magic, I now know the full power of the The Stick2) Sol RingWhat it has taught me: Mana AccelerationWhy I covet it: Mana ramp wins gamesPlay it on the 1st turn and by the end of Turn 4 Sol Ring has produced 8 mana. 1 mana for 8 mana. Black Lotus doesn't even do that, friends. Every deck should have one. 3) Gray Merchant of Asphodel. What it has taught me: Mana Occurrence and Budget FunWhy I covet it: Introduced me to Budget DecksMana Occurrence is important for multicolored decks and mono colored decks. Also he is cheap. Loads of Budget decks built around him. Can build cheap decks and still have fun. 4) GuttersniperWhat it has taught me: EfficiencyWhy I covet it: He seems like a fun chap to have in a deckDiscovered this guy on Mtgvault. Red is about making most of your mana (see Fireblast for an example). He adds efficient damage. 5) Mother of RunesWhat it has taught me: Activated abilities that tap are importantWhy I covet it: I have mommy issuesAlways wanted a Playset. She is powerful, ladies and gentlemen. She provides offense, defense, and protection all for 1 mana and at instant speed. 6) Wall of TearsWhat it has taught me: Tempo is keyWhy I covet it: I love Blue cards that make people cryHe provides you precious time to set up your board/combo while ruins your opponent's tempo. Aggro decks hate him. 7) Eidolon of the Great RevelWhat it has taught me: A win is a winWhy I covet it: It looks extremely fun to playI only need to have 1 life left to win. Red decks always need that extra 4-6 damage to finish off the opponent. It is fun to have your opponent do it for you. 8) Beast WithinWhat it has taught me: Versatile removal cards save you a headacheWhy I covet it: It destroys everything. Cards that have limited nuke potential always fail you when you need it the most. What good is a Murder when you need an Disenchant? This does it all. 9) Gitaxian ProbeWhat it has taught me: 56...err...60 cards is best. Why I covet it: It is amazingIt replaces itself. It doesn't affect mana curve. It thins the deck out. It gives you greater chance to draw desired cards. It can be splashed to any deck/color. Can be played for 0 mana (free). 10) Hymn to TourachWhat it has taught me: Discard decks are made by BitchesWhy I covet it: It is a powerhouse of disruptionAlways wanted 4 of these. Seemed decent enough. Then I met my friend's discard deck. I was introduced back into Magic with something like a 2-10 beat down. I won 2 games...11) Mishra's FactoryWhat it has taught me: Lands are used for more than just producing manaWhy I covet it: It does everything. It blocks. It attacks. It avoids mass removal. It provides mana. It is colorless and can be used for any deck. Beats down control/slow decks. Provides extra damage. What doesn't it do?

So here is the million dollar question. Which list of cards do I get?http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/list-1/101 useful cards. Lots to show for my money. Lots of great casual cards. Lots of cards that go good with any deck. Basically paying 1 dollar per card. or2) This deck 43 powerful cards. Not a lot to show for my money. Lots of powerful cards. Lots of cards that absolutely wreck games when they come on the table. Basically paying 2.30 dollars per card.

The price I would pay for this deck, fyi, is 86.50 without shipping. Leaving me for more room.
When in doubt go the power route.
This one has much more power per card.
So you deleted those other two lists!? Damn. It took me abuot an hour to compile my list of suggestions and wanted to reuse it now for a friend of mine that just got back into the game.
Quality over quantity my friend. These cards all MEAN something to you...In my book, that's more important.
