Go to Jail, do not Pass Go!

by Jessie on 24 August 2014

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (11 cards)

Artifacts (3)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Main idea is this: Use stuff that puts cards back on top of your opponent's library.

Temporal Spring
Plow Under
Hinder
Memory Lapse
Noxious Revival

So...deck description: Keep bouncing your opponent's lands/cards and put them on top of their library.

Opponent ends up having to keep drawing the same cards, over and over and over, the entire game.

Very frustrating to play against :)
That's how I like to make them!

How to Play

Looking for this.

Turn 1. Forest. Play Birds of Paradise.
Turn 2. Island. Play Temporal Spring on opponent's land
Turn 3. Island. Counter opponent's spell with either Hinder or Memory Lapse
Turn 4. Forest. Plow Under 2 of opponent's lands.
Turn 5. Island. Snapcaster and then Temporal Spring/Hinder/Memory Lapse

Result...opponent has little to no lands/threats on the board.
Plus his library has the same cards, on top, that he started the game with :)

Drop the nonbasic lands and the Tarmo, and the deck is 200 dollars.

I changed it.
Now it is under 200 dollars :)

What do you think?

3 forest
4 Scalding Tarn
4 tropical island
4 breeding pool

Or at least the concept of the deck?

It's pretty neat. I would add some Remands, Ponders, and Brainstorms if you decide to put in fetches.

Well, maybe another win condition besides just 3 worms. Seems that they can just roll over you without a fast way to win.

Thank you, PhyrexianPossum! "It's pretty neat" is a huge compliment from you, so I will take it. I do already have (great minds think alike) Remand in the Sideboard. I will trade it out for Accumulated Knowledge. What would you recommend as an added Win Condition?

Delver and Nimble Mongoose are both efficient beatesr. Or, if you want something bigger, I would probably go with Tarmogoyf, or splash black for Tombstalker

Will check into those cards, for sure :)
Hell...i might go all out, throw in fetchlands AND Tarmogoyf!

0

What about:

-1 Void Snare
-1 Wurm
-1 Bop
+3 Tramogoyf

Never made a 3 color deck before...but if i did the fetchlands...tombstalker might be an option.

Since it is Casual...as all of my decks end up being...I could add Brainstorm..what would you recommend taking out...if I wanted to run 3 of them?

This decks description made me laugh, I love decks as simple and weird as this one. I love how turn five they still have the exact same cards they started with. I would switch void snare with boomerang, but it isn't much different. If you have time, please check out my Whoncky deck. :)

Another great deck Jessie. I would have to agree with what others said regarding the mana base at least. You don't have to make it overly complicated. 4 Breeding Pools will definitely help. I personally prefer some elvish mystics for extra mana ramp until you have complete control and just use them to poke the guy to death if you can't find your wurms.

The deck is a Prison deck. :)

If you don't draw any wurms then this deck is kinda useless, maybe you should add some more win conditions? Other than that I absolutely love this deck.

Just drop the Tarmo and the nonbasic lands, if you want, to make the deck cost around 200 dollars :)

Okay guys. Couldn't find it in my heart to keep it at 2000 dollars.

Got the deck to under 200 dollars!!!

Question, guys.
Delver
When you flip him over, does he get summoning sickness?

0
Posted 29 August 2014 at 15:16

No, It's still the same card that entered the battlefield last turn (or the turn a before last turn), but the thing I was wondering was if you blink an insectile aberration, does it come back as a delver or an aberration. :)

They are my favorite. Decks that disrupt your opponent.
Bounce, counter, prison, lockdown, land destruction. Fun stuff.

0

You could try Delay as a funny back up counterspell for annoyances as a 1-2 of in sideboard. Also,Boomerang is another great bounce instant, since it lets you bounce any permanent for UU.

0
Posted 03 September 2014 at 14:41

Boomerang is my favorite bounce card.
I usually run 4 Boomerang, in my real life mono blue control deck.
No room in this deck because all of the cards bounce the cards back on top of their library, and not their hands.

0
Posted 03 September 2014 at 16:02

I understand. Putting cards on top of library is much more annoying compared to just sending them to the hand.

0
Posted 03 September 2014 at 21:50

And this deck is the result of trying to find all the cards that I could, that do what you just described. Really...I want to try to do it every turn. Haven't tested the deck out...but every turn I want to return one of their cards back to top of their library. By 5th and 6th turn I want to be returning 2 of their cards to the top of their library, every turn.

I want to win with m y opponent having little to no cards on the board. Adds injury to insult when you beat them and they don't have anything, on the board, to show for their efforts. Lots of my decks do that lately...

Not to advertise...but a lot of my lock down decks have received a lot of love...for some reason, one of them got passed over, and I think the deck rocks!

Anyone mind looking it over?
It is a30 dollar mono black, lock down deck.
It looks for Lockdown on Turn 4.
