Deck Description

Tatterkite and Melira's Keeper can't be affected by Freyalise's Winds, so they are my win condition.

Tatterkite and Keeper are also not affected by Unstable Mutation's negative counters. So that will get +3/+3 with no side effects, for one blue mana!

Since Winds is going to make me struggle for mana, I added Lotus Petal to give myself a slight edge with mana.

Sleep and Turnabout is directed at tapping out my opponent's creatures. When they tap out they stay tapped out a turn if Winds is in play.

Powersink and Pygmy Hippo is directed at forcing my opponent to tap out of mana. When they tap out they stay tapped out a turn if Winds is in play. Unstable Mutation are meant for Tatterkite/Keeper but can be put on the Hippo. A 5/5 or 4/4 Hippo where you have to choice to block, take damage, or tap out of mana is decent.

Seedborn Muse neutralizes the affects, to me, caused by Winds.

Temporal Distortion is, essentially, 3 more copies of Winds.

Llanowar Druid and Utopia Sprawl is to give me a mana edge against Winds.

How to Play

Examples of how this works.

Example 1:
Have Freyalise's Wind in play.
Opponent has 1 3/6 creature.
You have a Unstable Mutated Tatterkite. You attack and the 3/6 creature blocks. Both creatures live, however, your opponent's 3/6 creature has to remained tapped. Now you have a 5/4 Tatterkite untapped because he is not affected by the Wind.

Example 2:
Have Wind in play.
Opponent plays a spell and you use Powersink on him. He has a choice, to tap out his mana or lose the spell. If he taps out the mama Freyalise's Wind will make them stay tapped for a turn!

Example 3:
Have Wind in play.
Have Unstable Mutated Pygmy Hippo in play. You attack with a 5/5 Hippo.
Opponent either takes 5 damage, blocks a creature, or taps out all of his mana. Either way he is going to be losing a creature of all his lands for a turn.

Deck discussion for Freyalise, the Forgotten

I think Tatterkite will be a beast in this deck.
I need to test it out.

Hey, I like what you did with Freyalize's Winds! I didn't even know Tatterkite and Melira's Keepers.

Weaknesses I can see would be the lack of flyers and removal. Removal isn't as important in this as in others because of the slowdown, but there are quite a few cards that don't need to tap. Trygon Predator would be very good in this since it provides both flyers and removal, it even come at 3 mana where you currently have a "hole" in your mana curve. However, it can't evade the Winds itself (then again that's where Seedborn Muse and Turnabout come in). So I think Trygon Predator is at least sideboard worthy.

The deck also looks like it lacks some oomph, but that's hard to judge without playing it. I guess most of the damage will get sneaked in after a Turnabout. Still, something like Vorapede might be the final touch (it has Vigilance and therefore evades the Winds).

BTW, when you Powersink something, the opponent doesn't even have the option to keep it's mana, he HAS to try to pay even if he won't have enough mana!

I love tatterkite, another really good card in this kind of deck would be everlasting torment, as your creatures have wither and your opponent's creatures can't deal damage to your's! :)

BTW, Pygmy Hippo is actually 2/2, so he will be 5/5 the turn you Mutate him.
