Deck Description

Junkdiving Challenge by Puschkin.
Idea is to use Planeshift, Prophecy, and Legion expansions to make the best deck you can.

Here was my thought process Puschkin, I know you will laugh your ass off here.
I looked at Planeshift and Prophecy first. In truth, I never have seen Legions before.
So, looking through Planeshift/Prophecy and I see stuff like Overburden and Warped Devotion!!! Great I think, I just need to make a very creature light deck, now I just need to get some cards from Legion and I will be done with the deck!
Little did I know that Legion is nothing but creatures!!!!!
So I beat you because I used Legion by using creatures that would be used as cycling!

How to Play

Combos, people:

Overburden and Chimeric Idol. Idol comes in as a Artifact, not a creature!!! Neat, huh!

Sunken Hope and Chimeric Idol. Idol goes from being a creature back to an Artifact at the end of my turn. So Sunken Hope does not affect Chimeric Idol!!

Warped Devotion and any one of these cards are brutal:
1. Sunken Hope
2. Overburden
3. Rushing River

Idea is to use Warped Devotion with those 3 cards to force my opponents to keep bouncing permanents back to their hand.

I add in Bog Down with Warped Devotion to make my opponent bounce and discard their cards into their graveyard.

I use Gempalm Polluter and Keeneye Aven for cycling through my library. Helps me find the cards I need to win.

Rhystic Tutor finds me the card I need. My opponent will be losing his lands via Warped Devotion/Overburden combo, and will be hard pressed to stop the Tutor.

Soul Strings gets me back any creatures in my graveyard.

Mana Vapors slows down my opponent. Helps give me tempo advantage.

The Chimeric Idol and Scion of Darkness is my Win Con. Forcing my opponent to discard his creatures into his graveyard gives me massive advantage with Scion of Darkness.

I love it, mainly because you managed to include lots of otherwise crappy cards! And you truly learned to think outside the box and build something around it.

Also I've always been a fan of Chimeric Idol (and before that, Jade Statue) and like to see that one in use again!

The legions part is a bit fake, though ;) But what else could you do ... basically, whatever set you start with will dictate the other cards and exclude many of them because these sets were kind of ... inbred. In retrospect I feel kind of sorry that I tasked you with this challenge^^
