Creatures (3)

Sorceries (4)

Instants (4)

Deck Description

Notes:

1) Mtg needs to make more Dinosaurs!! If they can make Ninjas, Pirates, and Robots...then Dinosaurs are fair game!

2) Mtg originally had Dinosaurs, but for some reason (sometimes Mtg company does not make the best decisions) Dinosaurs were transferred over into the Lizard subtype. Why? Because apparently Mtg thinks Dinosaurs are lizards? Which they are not...they are more related to Birds.

3) Since there isn't a Dinosaur subtype, stuff like Coat of Arms can't be played. And thus...the lack of Dinosaur cards and the lack of support...as of right now, a Dinosaur Deck can only be Casual, at best.

4) Where the hell are these Elves (Allosaurus Rider/Wildheart Invoker) finding dinosaurs to ride?!

5) 40 dollar Casual deck :)

How to Play

Beat people up with Dinosaurs!

Play extra lands and mana ramp to be able to quickly afford the high mana cost Dinosaurs.

Rancor for a little pump power.

Beast Within for threat removal.

Invoker pump and Rhox are nasty together. 10/10 creature with trample and regeneration isn't anything to laugh about. And they can be played very fast considering Wild Growth/Harrow/Explore.

Allosaurus Rider can be played, very early, if you pay it's alternative casting cost. He quickly becomes a beast, if you take into account, how many lands you are going to be putting into play.

Deck discussion for Dinosaur Tribal

Ha Ha! This deck is quite funny! I don't know about many dinosaurs, so i can't recommend any. :)

Hydranianknighttamer... dude really? If you're that insecure about your mtg decks then I'm going to tell you right now, they aren't good and you need to learn the game better. Do your research, have a plan of attack when it comes to creating the basis and type of deck you're looking to make. Understand what your cards do and what would match up well with said card depending on the type you're making ( mill/aggro/combo etc. ) don't be that annoying scrub asking everyone for tips and to look at your decks so they can just tell you the cards they think would be best. You need to learn on your own not to only be a better deck builder. But a better player in general. Don't know what your cards do or how your deck works then either start studying or stop playing, straight up.

There. My first deck with a Planeswalker, just for you! :)
It made my deck go from 25 to over 100, lol, though.

I noticed, she has 2 +1 abilities, is that common?
I thought most of them had 1 +1 ability and 1 -1 ability.

And you are right, if i get her -7 ability, it pretty much will mean the game.

And in return, almost any deck that is advertized to me (tastefully as you have done, Northy) will automatically get a view/comment AND most of the time a like.

Ahh, yes, Legendaryhero, the guy is making some really good decks!
He has made the Hot Page 2 or 3 times in the last week or so.

I know it sounds cheap...like I am giving likes away.
But this place is a community.

If a deck is solid, well rounded, it deserves a like.

If it has a win condition, ways to help that win condition, draw spells, removal spells, and is well rounded...then it is a decent deck. It may not be the greatest deck ever made....but if it has a decent chance at winning games, it deserves to be respected.

People put time, effort, money, thought into making their decks. That deserves my consideration, you know?

So many people on this site are so greedy...they want likes but do not want to give them.
Or...if they do like decks...they have to consider the deck they like the greatest deck they have ever seen.

How many people, do you think, have come to this site, and made decks...no one liked their decks...and they ended up getting sad/depressed and quit playing Magic or quit making decks or quit coming on MTGVault?

There have people that have been on here for 5 years, without decks getting likes.
That is crazy!!!

And his deck did end up getting a like/suggestion from me.
If all I can suggest to someone is to add a little bit of creature/artifact/enchantment removal, then the deck is decent and deserving! I suggested to him Naturalize in the Sideboard :)

Very flavorful, I dig it! If you want to stick to land ramp to benefit your Nissa, I recommend you consider Search for Tomorrow to give you a nice early play, and Skyshroud Claim (best two forest ramp, period). Maybe throw in some Birds of Paradise for bonus ramp? They look like they belong to the Jurassic period.

If you wanted to take a different route...I personally have a Mono Green Tron deck wherein I use a combination of: Overgrown Battlement, Wall of Roots, and Wall of Blossoms to serve a dual purpose of defending me early AND mana ramping. In conjunction with the three Tron lands, I can cast Emrakul and the Eldrazi crew brutally fast. Just ask my buddy who plays Affinity ;)

My friends and I are designing an entire Dinosaur Set of 258 cards. We've been working at it for some time now and are close to finished. We've created a few very cool mechanics and cards. Are plan is to send it to Wizards with a letter stating we do not wish to infringe on copyrights or anything like that just want them to produce something along the same lines. With the small chance of getting a bit of credit from the work we've done.

Modern Burn...means burn without Chain Lightning or Fireblast...oh well, will take a look at it, for sure.

1
Posted 07 October 2014 at 21:56

Another interesting idea if I may say so, nice job. Sakura-Tribe Elder could work as a nice addition somewhat looks like a Dinosaur, helps with mana fixing, and searches for a land for Allosaurus Rider, plus can be used as a chump blocker until your creatures hit the field. Also to help lower your mana costs Emerald Medallion would help as well.

2
Posted 06 October 2014 at 01:58

Oh yeah almost forgot, Setessan Tactics is better then Time to Feed, two cost then one extra for your other creature, being able to kill more instead of one and gives them +1/+1 as well until end of turn. So, you can fight before your untap step then attack with added bonus of the +1/+1.

2

Awesome Copper, sound advice, as always.
Will sideboard the cards you mentioned until I can get around to testing the deck.

No problem, always happy to help and appreciate your opinion as well.

1
Posted 06 October 2014 at 02:17

I love the idea of settessan tactics, but you can't cast cards before your untap step, and you untap and immediatly move to upkeep, so inspired cards actually resolve during your upkeep. :)

1
Posted 06 October 2014 at 02:26

Yeah your right, I was thinking during your upkeep over untapping by bad. You can do it at the end of there turn though, so still a nice addition.

1
Posted 06 October 2014 at 02:32

Yeah, it is just a big blowout for the other player, so you get about the same amount of creatures, then surprise! And kill three of their creatures and suddenly you attack with 4 they block with one leaving the board 3 creatures for you, and not one for them. :)

Suggestions aim more for flavour than for effetiveness:

* Untamed Wilds instead of Harrow (harrowing involves humans)

* Predatory Hunger instead of Setessan Tactics

* Please make room for a single Fossil Find :)

* Forests can be replaced with (some of them even improve the deck:)
- Jungle Basin
- Slippery Karst
- Tranquil Thicket
- Heat of Yavimaya

* If splashing red is an option:
- Crag Saurian
- Dromosaur
- Shivan Raptor
- Magmasaur
- Macetail Hystrodon

and consequently any combination of:
- Rugged Highlands
- Karplusan Forest
- Taiga
instead of Forests

* I think the original Garruk Wildspeaker is a way better Bradywalker than the one you have there.

how is garruk better then nissa? she untaps 4 lands as a +1 and can turn a forest into a 4/4 with trample also as a +1 and her -7 is a game ender garruks ultimate is just overrun

1

I said my suggestions are directed at flavour. He summons beasts, not elementals. And an overrun is like a stampede, something that is a thing with dinosaurs.

I think it's enough to bring him below 10 so he can't downvote anymore.
OTOH a person that hateful wouldn't mind creating some alternate accounts and voting himself up again.
So, I think it's probably best to just upvote Jessie again.
BTW, I got downvoted, too, but only in the comments I made in Jessies decks (as far as I can see - I actuall don't know how much reputation I had before)

Dude.. why in the hell would you put fossil find in this deck? It's a terrible fucking card. R/g put card from graveyard back into hand at random? That's trash! Way better options that actually let you pick. Your deck building skills are lacking strategy all through out. Study up and playtest before you publish it because some dumb idiots actually buy before they try and then you'll have angry net Deckers telling you off for publishing a trash deck

-1

Also, why not have 4 Trias sic eggs in the actual deck? It's an underrated card and I'm not sure why. You could potentially summon a 13 cost card for next to nothing. Dude... do you even know how to play magic??

Time to feed. Also, don't know why the fuck you put that in your sideboard. It's also trash. Dude please learn basic deck building skills/strategies before you publish a Terra bad deck.
