Deck Description

Yeah, its a battle of wits deck. Basically its a UW control deck, but huge, with a hilarious win condition.

250 cards sleeved seems to be the max I can shuffle unassisted so I cap it around that.

Basically, you do everything you can to find Battle of Wits, and everything you can to stop your opponent from doing anything meaningful in that time. Teferi's Puzzle Box works double duty here, helping you cycle through your deck much faster, while at the same time ruining any ability of your opponent to hatch any long term plans.

Suggestions for cards is gladly welcome. With a deck this size after forever and a day going through gatherer you start to not give a shit anymore lol.

Deck discussion for Let the Battle begin

Hey there, you looked at mine, now looking at yours. Also in defense of mine... it also can deal real damage if it has to. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=300810

Also in the time I tested mine, I could always get the battle of wits out as soon as I had 5 mana, be it through a blue tutor to a white tutor or a demonic/vampiric tutor. Having red allows damage spells incase the battle of wits win condition fails as well as wild research (which allows you to search for an enchantment card). To each his own, though you might have a point in having 20 more cards against things like glimpse the unthinkable.

Not a knock at the deck, just that these types of decks are insanely fragile. Outside of some freak chance where you beat a normal deck with damage or something, which they are much better suited for, you are relying on a playset of one card to win you the game.

All I'm trying to do is make sure that no matter how many times I get counter spelled, extirpated or whatever, I have a card that pulls Battle of Wits back into my library or hand and gives it another chance. Worst case scenario, I should be able to hold off for a son of a bitch of a long time and deck the guy hopefully.
