A 'Haunted Humans' deck that utilizes the Drogskol Captain in conjunction with the spirit producing mechanic to give the Knights and Soldiers an added boost while maintaining a general 'militia' flavor. An advanced white-weenie deck with a splash of control this deck is designed to keep serious pressure on while building a stronger and stronger force - even beyond the grave.

I designed this setup to take advantage of the synergy between the humans and spirits. Aside from the decidedly 'militia' feel - which flavor wise I think is great, Mirrodin generals mixed with Innistrad's faithful fighting force - the deck is, I feel, a wonderful example of white's ability to maintain power in any situation presented. There are any number of ways to play the deck. There seems to be no 'I need this card to win,' and the deck is overall very fun to play. If the Captains are absent, you still have the Honor of the Pure to support the creatures. If the Hero's don't make an appearance, the spirits of the dead will fly over for the win. Control in the form of the Hunters is paralleled in the Rings. And if the opponent has board wipe, the Haunts and Hauntings will ensure the dead have their revenge. I really enjoy the deck for its elegance and the varied play-styles. Coming out of a standard environment where the "I-Win" decks were one-trick-ponies, the Drogskol Legion variation of the Haunted Humans deck presents a return to what Magic really should feel like.
