I designed this setup to take advantage of the synergy between the humans and spirits. Aside from the decidedly 'militia' feel - which flavor wise I think is great, Mirrodin generals mixed with Innistrad's faithful fighting force - the deck is, I feel, a wonderful example of white's ability to maintain power in any situation presented. There are any number of ways to play the deck. There seems to be no 'I need this card to win,' and the deck is overall very fun to play. If the Captains are absent, you still have the Honor of the Pure to support the creatures. If the Hero's don't make an appearance, the spirits of the dead will fly over for the win. Control in the form of the Hunters is paralleled in the Rings. And if the opponent has board wipe, the Haunts and Hauntings will ensure the dead have their revenge. I really enjoy the deck for its elegance and the varied play-styles. Coming out of a standard environment where the "I-Win" decks were one-trick-ponies, the Drogskol Legion variation of the Haunted Humans deck presents a return to what Magic really should feel like.

I really love the flavor of these mechanics and this deck is similar to mine, but without the Phyrexian restriction. Inexorable Tide + Steady Progress FTW. Nice deck.
There, I think I've stabilized the mana curve and established a stronger control element with Mana Leak and Doom Blade. I completely missed Haunting Echos and have added that to combo off the Traumatize. I don't think even Elixir of Immortality can save against that little combination.
Thanks. Why no mind rot? Also, M11 cards, this is a general flavor deck.
Well it's designed as an M11 deck so the avoidance of the nighthawk and darkslick drake is deliberate. And I usually undercut my curve, so I'll look into that with testing.
