"The three things were damnably clever constructions of their kind, and were furnished with ingenious metallic clamps to attach them to organic developments of which I dare not form any conjecture. I hope - devoutly hope-that they were the waxen products of a master artist, despite what my inmost fears tell me. Great God! That whisperer in darkness with its morbid odour and vibrations! Sorcerer, emissary, changeling, outsider.. . that hideous repressed buzzing. . . and all the time in that fresh, shiny cylinder on the shelf. . . poor devil . . . Prodigious surgical, biological, chemical, and mechanical skill...For the things in the chair, perfect to the last, subtle detail of microscopic resemblance - or identity - were the face and hands of Henry Wentworth Akeley." - Albert N. Wilmarth, in the story The Whisperer in Darkness by H. P. Lovecraft.

Now that is some literature worth quoting!I quite like this. It has a, well, 'smoothness' to it that is very appealing. My one concern is in regards to some items of your sideboard. While I can see both Wear/Tear and Abrupt Decay coming in useful, I worry about their costs. With Mana Confluence your only means of casting them, it leave me feeling you could run into a snag.

I recently finished another project of mine for Modern, and it has been Lovecraft both times that gave me the spark of inspiration to finish them. I could not help but give credit to the stories that I love for helping me!Thank you Artemis, I'm quite proud of the way this wound out; the 'smoothness' it demonstrates is of an odd curve, which I have never used before. I am quite enthralled by the idea of putting it under the microscope so to speak. And as for your concern, I share it entirely. I was simply at a loss as to what to use for Artifact/Enchantment hate, and I simply went with the most useful options I could think of. They necessitated I use Mana Confluence, which I don't particularly mind, but as it is my /only/ option for casting(as you said) I am at a loss as to how effectual it will be.Edit: Seeing my own comment leaves me wondering if I should stop my binge reading, it's having drastic affect on my speech patterns.
