why do you run such cheap mediocre instants and sorcerys, and like $850 of lands and creatures?

There's this great thing called playing for a long time, where you get this weird buildup of lands, but lose track of spells you lent to friends. Also because this is basically just a weird port from Legacy into Modern.
look out we got someone whos been playing since zendikar.
Also theres some good modern RBU non creature spells
Yes, yes there are, but I'm trying to make RUG Loam control work in another format. Why Grixis spells would interest me in this deck is beyond my comprehension.
lel not rbu, rug my b. so you're trying to make this vintage?
No, I'm using this as a base to port it from Legacy to Modern. And gotcha, typos in MtG can be quite confusing sometimes, thanks for clearing it up.
with all the control i think a stronger creature base would be helpful. some powerful RUG creatures out there, your mana base isnt a prob so i think more multi color would be easy to run.
Colors are no issue as you say, my main concern is efficiency. Two of the ones I've considered the strongest options are Delver of Secrets, and Goblin Guide. My concern with Delver is that I only have twenty-five spells, and in Legacy I feel uncomfortable at anything below thirty.
theres droping land, but then loam isn't working like the brutal engine it is. maybe commune witht he gods would allow for dropping a few and helping fill the grave for low cmc
