Testing out Young Pyromancer in StifleNought, seems promising so far.Testing Vision Charm in the SB for a way to get around Abrupt Decay.Sideboard allows swapping back to my usual Trinket Mage tempo package.I don't know why, but StifleNought tempo is coming back as one of my favorites for now. Thus, I shall be tinkering with them obsessively.

Why not throw in torpor orbs?

Because in the UBx frame I use for StifleNought it's actually more beneficial to use Trickbind, and have Snapcaster and Trinket Mages available. In the UWx version I use Torpor Orb, and it's pretty great, but I want to explore all possible options with StifleNought right now.
Because you're a noob, bro.
I don't quite know why you haven't done this yet either haha. The addition of Young P. helps fill in so many gaps/flaws in previous StifleNought frames...I love it, and expect to see it remain a staple for the deck for a long time.Never been a fan of Ghastly Demise. It's rarely worked for me when I needed it to.
I should have thought about this the second I saw Young Pyromancer >_< It really does cover so much of the flaws inherent to StifleNought. I'm loving it too, but I feel that with this version I want to use one or two more cantrips. Probably a copy of Ponder in place of Trickbind#2... Ghastly Demise is absolutely amazing in my experience. The only problem I've had is the odd Tarmogoyf slipping through the gaps here and there, but short of running StP this is always a potential worry.
You'll have to finagle those aspects for sure. Ponder would be the next best thing to use after your playset of Brainstorm. It's probably one of those things where I've just had bad luck with it, I dunno. Personally, I'd use Dismember. I like the promise of more consistency in place of the *potential* to hit high. I will admit though, I'm bias in both ways towards and against the choices...
Always been a huge Dreadnought Fan. I would play Vision Charm in the main over Trickbind. Trickbind is kind of terrible in legacy. Rarely is a 2 mana Stifle going to be something you want. Vision Charm however does all sorts of awesome tech that you wouldn't expect at first. Aside from enabling Dreadnought, and saving your Dreadnought from removal, which is EXTREMELY important as Dreadnought is essential made of glass.. very very thin fragile glass... But you can also phase out a Batterskull to kill the Germ, Stop a Jitte from getting counters, screw up someones Brainstorm, Top, Enlightened/ Personal Tutor, sometimes you can even timewalk monocolored decks by changing their lands in their upkeep. The only thing Trickbind has going for it, is punking kids out who think theyre gonna 2 for 1 you by countering your Stifle when your trying to combo out a Dreadnought. Not really feeling the disruption package either. I feel you you reall want some Gitaxion Probe in this deck. I would go all in on Probe, Therapy, and Thoughtsieze if i were you. Probe gives you a good idea as to when you want to unleash a Dreadnought as well. It's never fun getting you Nought killed by one of the 100s of cards that kill him. Probe letls you know if the coast is clear, while at the same time, pumping out tokens and letting you snipe cards with Therapy. Counterspell and Hymn seem pretty off here. Theyre both 2 mana, color restrictive and a bit slow. Again i feel like you would be way better off with just some Probes, discard, then your Forces, Pierces and Dazes.. that's an insane disruption package. Counterspell and Hymn should hit the road IMO. You could do a straight swap of Hymn for Probe. then cut Counterspells for Therapys or Pierces. That would be so tight! Also agreeing with Surewhynot about Ghastly Demise. The card has been good to me in the past, but in this day and age with Deathrites, Scoozes, RIP, etc, Ghastly isn't very reliable Removal. I would be all in on Dismember.
Same.Agreed. Trickbind has long outlived itself. It was at its height the same time that CounterTop was.I'm really digging the suggestions for this one. I can't agree more. The disruption package is lackluster in this one as is, but that? That is beautiful.Don't know about counterspell though, I am really digging the counter suite. But Hymn is definitely being nixed. If I were to remove Counterspell, I'd finish off my Dazes, and then add the third Spell Pierce, you're right.Ghastly Demise is actually still treating me pretty good, except against a few decks, but they were already decks it was terrible against anyway. A list a friend sent me is concerning me enough that I'm dropping it though... His Maverick got cold and heartless to the point that the only graveyard shenanigan deck I'll trust against it is Landstill >~<Also, because of the way this one is laid out, I'm more in line with playing TNN in this than anything. It works phenomenally well here, more so than the Esper decks.
When people play Dryad Militant in Maverick is when i cry. I hate that card. This deck is actually looking really mean right now. but i am such a sucker for Dreadnought.. UB Dreadstalker was actually the first Legacy deck i built in paper so Dreadnought will always have a place in my heart. hahaThat reminds me Vision Charm was so sick in that deck because it could also fuel Tombstalkers. Card is bonkers.Iim tellin ya.I don't think Stalker is where this deck wants to be though, Young Pyromancer does work here. A young Pyro Delver deck actually got 1st yesterday at the Legacy open.!
Dryad Militant is a playset in his deck... He finally got tired of me playing graveyard shenanigans, and took the offensive.I didn't know your first Legacy deck was Dreadstalker! I have a soft spot for Reanimator and CounterTop because they were my first actual Legacy decks, so I can entirely understand. It's pretty epic in the right setting!I've had a Grixis list with Delver and Young Pyromancer for a while, and I absolutely love it, I just made this because it's a more enjoyable style to me. Also, I'm super happy about one winning the open!
