Deck Description

I could not manage to think of anything with Aggressive Mining other than this.

Deck discussion for Well, that's all I got

What about Flagstones of Trokair? Seismic Assault or Countryside Crusher could be fun.

Flagstones is a very tasty idea, I hadn't thought of that. Seismic and Country are interesting options, Seismic Assault especially, in perhaps a more green heavy design utilizing Life from the Loam as well. It may be a control derivative of aggro-loam, which I do quite enjoy.

18 lands for mox diamond? Your asking to have a dead diamond in hand.

Land Tax. You do know how Parfait works, right? I understand it's a moderately obscure deck, but I figured it was considered common knowledge. I suppose I'm too accustomed to the random deck knowledge from woogerworks.

i know how land tax works but at the same time man you wont always get land tax in hand. In many parfait builds I've seen they have at least 20 lands and scrying sheets.

This is true, most do run twenty lands, and I won't always have Land Tax. But I've found eighteen to actually be a more rounded number to use, allowing that increased allotment of silver bullets, and another enabler in the form of Tithe. Even at one, Tithe adds quite a lot to the deck.

yeah I can see tithe doing tons of work in this list, especially since it can find your plateau and tundra.

need to ask though, how good is aggressive mining in this list? Looks like you can go nuts with it, especially with manabond

Yeah, I think in the Scrying Sheets versions you would be quite right though.

And Aggressive Mining is... Well, it's the weirdest thing I've ever tried to do with Parfait actually. It feels a bit win-more at times, and others it feels like the only thing putting me ahead. It's too early for me too really say. With Manabond though, yeah, it's like having a bastardized Legacy version of Gush.

yeah, but then again this is a whole 'nother beast. Ive never seen anything quite like this before.

oh lordy gush in red! thats completely nuts. If you test this list more let me know, I love the hell out of aggressive mining.

This more insane style had a brief moment in the sun, but it's a lot more demanding in tournaments.

It is. I am actually really enjoying this, but it still feels slightly off. I plan on trying another version running much like Sure says below, but I'm actually thinking Naya, or perhaps RWBG.

I think the only COMPLETELY beneficial use of AM in a deck so far has been in Wumps's Zo-Zu EDH. This comes close though. I wonder how a red/green(/blue?) combo deck would work using AM, LftL, and Seismic Assault. Throw in some other stuff around that a d you could have a pretty nifty deck.

This reminds me I really need to stop being lazy and upload the stuff I've been working on.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing, another interesting idea would be AM in an Enlightened Tutor XX-Lands build. His EDH decks always seem to utilize the weirdest things in the best manner, I love that.

Yes. Yes you do.
