Now this, this is awesome. I don't think I've ever seen someone use Balthor as a general, and this deck fits him so well. It's a beautifully reckless design. I think my favorite card in this whole thing is Zombie Infestation. Loading up your 'yard while pumping out more zombies? Oh yes.

I honestly didn't make this with him in mind, I just went through the list of Legendary Zombies after the rest of the deck was made. The fact that he fit as well as he does is really a testament to how absurd zombie hordes are I think. And the recklessness is part of what makes fun, it's not trying to kill you with zombies, it's trying to kill a table! And as much as I love Zombie Infestation for exactly the reasons you state, I think Bone Dancer is my favorite. That artwork, that weird ability, that cost!
The artwork especially yeah. It's both hilarious and creepy at the same time.By the way, I forgot to say congrats on winning that competition! Big freakin accomplishment for sure.
It kind of makes me think of the typical image of a voodoo doctor mixed with a harlequin. It's interesting, and rather unique. Thanks man! :D
If there was Necropotence and 10 more creatures, I would agree so much more with you, sure. That would probably be an auto include in a deck that started with Balthor. Phyrexian Arena, Phyrexian Reclamation.
Spam http://www.mtgvault.com/dagbaker/decks/trinkets/ <-Modern deck I'd like opinions on. I can't think right now (I think it's because of M15 Spoilers).Jens, man, you're making so much EDH. And they're all awesome, unlike mine which are all combo decks... lol.
I'll check it out in a bit, but it'll probably be until tomorrow that I comment much.Really? 'Cause I've thought all of yours I've seen are pretty epic lol. Mine are just themed, and have little packages I've come to enjoy. But it means a lot that you like them Dag!
I do love my EDH decks, but nobody else "loves" them. And oh my god, I wish I bought Chains of Mephistopheles when it was $80. That card is just dirty. Dirty expensive. Damn.
I do, they're insane, but just enough to work. Plus, I'm one of those people who can actually quite enjoy playing against combo.I wish it still was $80, I want more people to be able to play the old treachery like that. It's just so epic, and in EDH you can pull off shenanigans like it, grand MotF Tarkin, and Anvil of Bogardan. That's just freaking crushing if it gets set.
Exactly. And then you play Pox.http://www.mtgvault.com/dagbaker/decks/this-is-the-starting-point/^ Jasmine is either gonna be something similar to that, or be a bunch of Wraths.
If you want a Zombie General...http://mythicspoiler.com/c14/cards/ghoulcallergisa.html
Hey Jens =)This looks mad-good ! Balthor is a house in this !I don't know what, or how for that matter, to give any advice on Zombie-Combie's, but since you're running Crucible of Worlds, why not throw in a Strip Mine for maximum opponent agony? It's only illegal in the French format of EDH ^_^If you're finding it difficult to deal with Planeswalkers, then I'd highly recommend Hex Parasite. I know you're relying on GY help, but in a pinch, you could save a critter or two, from dying via a used Undying effectOn another note, is it wrong to imagine Balthor the Defiled and Irini Sengir hookin' up?
