I've noticed. Jund is a surprisingly evil match for this deck without a way to finish the job without passing the turn. I'm not sure which I like better, but I'm honestly leaning towards Grapeshot, and firing off multiple times. And yes Dag, there's quite a bit of truth in what has been said.

Ja, aber durchaus wert. Wenn Sie es entbehren können, natürlich. Auch, bitte verzeihen keine Fehler, ich bin immer noch lernen.
I know what you mean, individually there's nothing that quite stands out, but as a whole the deck just gives me a giggle. I'm working on a Legacy non-Tribal version of this idea, but a touch closer to Death and Taxes than it already is because this list has provided so much enjoyment.I've always liked WW decks, so I've kept up more with the creatures within White than almost anything. Only Black has maintained my attention as much, and only then because of things like Blood Artist, Gravecrawler, and Lotleth Troll.I'm glad you like it, I've fallen in love with aggro-control with white all over again, and this is pretty much the first time in a long time I've sat down legitimately inspired by an idea beyond boredom, and curiosity.
It really is, and that is part of why I love it so much. I love that it's working so well, but I can tell you right now that I'd not like to sit on the other side of the table from it! I'm glad you like it, and more so that you gave it inspiration.
It might not be your idea originally, but you're how I found it. Now where does that sound familiar from? :P And it does feel quite nice when you've helped somebody.I have saved only the links to those related to Supernatural, and Zoidberg. Why? I have no idea... They just amuse me.I'm right there with your wife then, I'm super excited/angry about what the next episode might hold... That show has been one of my favorites since it came out, and even though it had rough spots *cough*series seven*cough* it's been one of the most consistently enjoyable shows.I can entirely understand, I don't drink often myself, and when I do I keep it to a minimal amount. Good job on being on the wagon for as long as you have, it's quite an accomplishment!
Sam Black laid out such a wonderful basis for this deck, and started the archetype, but I think the deviations people make deserve credit unto themselves as well. People know Sam Black was the mind behind Zombardment, but others employ their own stylings within it.It may not be so far from the list, but it's farther from it than those in Standard claimed as their own a while back when Stoneblade was the talk of the town.
I agree that Tidehollow is great in this deck, you can sacrifice it in response to it's enter the battlefield effect to have the exit the battlefield effect resolve before it, and then permanently exile the card(thus the nightmare effect), but not playing Blood Artist or Mox Diamond seems like a mistake in Zombardment to me.
I made a Human tribal around abusing the ideas this gave me, and I have to say it's the most fun I've had playing a tribe yet. I can't thank you enough for that! That sounds quite a nice night, glad you enjoyed it. Also, that sounds absolutely delicious, and I'm jealous of you for it.I've honestly never met a forgetful drinker, but things to get uncomfortably affectionate when my friends start drinking, or at least in my opinion... I love those that I would drink with as family, but when they want to hug me while they smell of vomit? http://i.imgur.com/w1w2yOr.gifIf they're indoor animals they'll usually just be curious, but outdoor pets just get annoyed usually.
It's more or less a poor version of hatebear based aggro, and I thought it would be interesting to test out next time I play Modern. And the Unicorn is better than the Fox if you ask me, as is the War Priest; while they may not exile, they cost no additional mana for their effects. If I wanted a bit of variety to it, I think I'd go with Qasali Pridemage.
I think I'd even go so far as to say Tortured Existence is up there with The Abyss in terms of being a classic black card. One trades life for life, the other condemns all to pain. The splash has kind of breathed new life into this deck for me, I made it Orzhov originally just out of curiosity, but now think I'd be unable to go back!I know right? The fact that I just heard the Zoo players in the area have jumped ship into Maverick makes it even more amusing to mehttp://i.imgur.com/iZb4d.gif... That... That's just mean.
That is a good little combo, and I may have to copy it from you. :DIt may be overkill, but that does sound incredibly fun. I'm thinking that for now when I play Stox, I'll have two Mazes, and a copy of Ice Floe in the SB.We had a pretty good New Year, thank you, how about you?
Well, that explains that lol.
It shocks and amazes me that I never thought of adding Maze of Ith to Stox. It would have saved so many matches I can only laugh at myself. The price of my time with Pox appears to be that the simplest solution to Maverick for Stox would forever allude me.
I'm quite liking how this shaped up with Psychogenic Probe, it increases speed dramatically, and the shift away from stalling is one I've been expecting for quite a while now. One thing, however, that I am curious about is the exclusion of Abrupt Decay from the main list. It was previously one of the biggest boons to the decks power, so I would like to hear your reasoning on reducing it to SB duty. Also, what a marvelous design to be the first one I see this year!
Dirt is the name of the color scheme. It supports a wide array of hatebears if desired, and Dirty Maverick has been an up-and-coming deck since before Maverick even had a name. The key difference between older style Dirt aggro and the more common Dirty Maverick designs would be the inclusion of Mox Diamond and Hymn to Tourach as playsets, and the exclusion of Mother of Runes. From a playing perspective it's trading for a slightly better game one against combo, and you can easily fit the required cards to transform it into Dirty Maverick in the board if you like. And thank you.
I've loved it since Dark Horizons was a deck, and started looking into the older Dirt control. While not all of it(or in fact much of it) has remained untouched, it's still just as fun to me today as back then.Even then the greatest "trick" it had was Maze of Ith, but there's nothing built into the deck that is unique to it. With the advent of Abrupt Decay, it has become the Midrange color scheme with the most variable support in my opinion, finally beating out CounterTop Bant.... And all while being more enjoyable than nine out of ten aggro decks.http://i.imgur.com/mmqPQ.gif
You know, Psychogenic Probe would be an interesting option for a Poxtraction variant using Bitter Ordeal and LIving Death like the old PAL did. At maybe one or two, it could really be a viable option. And at your final point, "Extraction wins because the opponent can't" That is why these things, and Stox, have become a thing on the vault; we all seem to have a sadistic streak when it comes to competition.
Congratulations man! Hope you two enjoy life together, and tip of my hat for what your friends make seem like an excellent wedding.
Excuse me while I laugh maniacally. HAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA! I might not be as happy as if it was the variant I support more, but seeing Doomsday in the top 16 is simply beautiful.
Quite interesting, and it shocks me that I didn't know Recycle even existed. I'm thinking of doing something fun with Academy Rector for casual now.
