Deck Description

This deck is heavily inspired by classical high fantasy settings, where the heroic and valiant human army faces a final and desperate attempt to charge the castle, and vanquish the evil that hides behind its walls. Armed with their convictions, and hope for reinforcements from an allied nation, they charge forth. And just when all seems to fall apart, flags arise from the west, a glint of steel, and trumpets blair -- signaling the promised arrival of salvation.

How to Play

This deck is considered a "ver 2.0" of my first attempt at a red/white army deck (See: The Unholy Alliance). Since I've made some Gatecrash purchases, I lucked up with a nice amount of Boros Legion cards -- so I figured, what the hey!

The idea is that this deck is fast and aggressive.

1. Build the army as quickly as possible
2. Relentless and constant strategic attacks, to keep the enemy on the defensive.
3. Buff up Crusader of Odric with soldier tokens.
4. Let the tokens hang back and hammer enemy with a battalion of crusaders and Boros Legion soldiers/knights.
5. If lucky enough to draw 5-Alarm Fire, then go all out
6. Save buffs to either push for a massive attack, or hang back and use them for defense
7. Legion Loyalist used for a surprise massive assault

## Major weaknesses:
1. No way to recoup health
2. No counters/cancels
3. Vulnerable to board wipes

Deck discussion for Storm the Armada

Boros Keyrune seems completely unneeded in that deck. Replacing it with any other card already in the deck to increase it chances will make the deck that little bit stronger.

Noted, and my thoughts exactly. It'll be replaced once I get a few more boosters. I have to mention that it did win the game for me by a hair once; activating it to buff my Crusader of Odric by that much needed +1/+1 But the deck space it takes could be replaced.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting :D

So far, it is a very speedy deck. With the right starting hand, it has a very good chance of summoning a creature a turn -- at least. I love Boros Legion's Battalion ability, it really brings out the team-work aspect of this army deck.

To really jack this deck's speed up, I intend to add more creatures with haste, and swap out the two artifacts. I'd love to get my hands on a couple of Skyknight Legionnaires (they work perfectly with this deck). At three mana, they have proven to time perfectly with Firefist Striker, swooping in to enable a Battalion powered ambush. Additionally, I want to replace Murder Investigation with another Five-Alarm Fire enchantment, to increase its chances of being drawn (or to give me an extra, encase it gets stripped). That enchantment is brutal!

You could try lightning maulers since him and another creature both get haste when he is souldbonded.

Dude! That's an awesome suggestion! And Avacyn Restored boosters are next on my list to purchase, so I'll definitely keep an eye out for them (or I might just buy them from Amazon.com individually, they are cheap enough.). Good lookin' out!

Only problem is, to optimize this both need to come into the battlefield in the same turn. Not necessarily doable. However, if the Maulers come in first and remain unbounded, any creature can have haste as soon as they come in ..

so ... I don't know.. do your math :D

Your welcome for the help.I find it cheaper ordering cards from amazon instead of buying packs all the time. Its pretty much a big gamble with packs. You could spend a 100 bucks on booster packs and possibly not even pull the rares you want.

True, I may end up just buying individual cards. Boosters/intro packs helped me get started, but I think now I'm at the stage where I'll just end up accumulating a lot of cards I don't need. Is there a specific go-to vendor that you recommend?
