This deck is an upgrade to Blood Rising. The changes were very minor: I removed the non-standard spells. Reduced the number of vamps from 27 to 23, and added some artifacts. Over all the deck plays the same way: fast and hard.Inspiration:This deck is inspired by movies like The Lost Boys, Queen of the Damned, and The Underworld trilogy. It also draws a lot of its feel from one of my favorite videogames; Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. I enjoy the under-dog-ish side of the vampires, as opposed to the aristocratic/superiority side of them. So, I wanted to create a deck that painted a picture of vampires taking their last stand. I'm working towards a deck that feels aggressive, reckless and somewhat desperate, up until the vampires' moment of triumph, when their leader appears, allowing them to take flight...
The idea of this deck is for it to be fast and aggressive, keeping the opponent on the defensive.1. Attack as early as possible2. Line up the captains for buffs and first strike3. Rakish Heir hangs back and supplies the counters4. Wolfhunter's Quivers attached to Vampire Nighthawk for creature removal5. Crossway Vamp / Markov Warlords to remove blockers and set up opponent for ambushes6. Abuse lifelink, and if the game drags out, use the chalice7. Save elixir and gravepurges in case of board wipes, massive deaths

Half of this is far too weak, the strongest vampires aren't here or there just aren't enough of them, Olivia Voldaren is a killer she should be here, cut all but the nocturnus nighthawk captain and heir and try Voldaren aristocrat and look for some less useless vampires, some of these shouldn't be in any apart from certain specialists but this isn't

Hi Gothy. Thanks for dropping by!This deck is pretty much what I could put together with the Toolkit and the boosters that I've purchased. I haven't made any individual card purchases yet. In the future, I would definitely like to get my hands on Olivia Voldaren (hoped luck up with her in my last booster purchase, but alas!), and a few other powerful vamps.Once I get some disposable income, I'll want to build a completely different vamp deck, that focuses on human sacrifice buffing (as opposed to player damage buffing). This deck won't get neglected though, as I enjoy the charm of red/black vamps. They feel so fast and reckless. Thanks again for the suggestions! I'm curious what specific specialist decks would some of the weaker vamps be more useful in. I'm always looking for creative ways to use vampires. They are my favorite creature type.
Thoughts (after two games):1. It's fast and aggressive. 2. I want to reduce the number of creatures and bring in some other non-creature spells that fit the theme. So I will be looking at how little vamps I can get away with having, while still maintaining the necessary aggression.3. Possible ideas for spells include Bump in the Night, Traitorous Blood. Will look into other low-cost spells that fit the theme. Also may want to add more armaments.Next few games I will focus on pacing and trimming down needless spells to make room for upgrades. I want to end up with a deck that is fast, aggressive, and versatile enough to respond to non-creature threats.
